LEGO Creator 10252 VW Beetle Digital Speed Build and Herbie Mod

Hello I want to share with you the secrets of creating a virtual build of the 10252 LEGO Creator Expert VW Beetle Set and how to create a Herbie mod.
Earlier this year Volkswagen announced the very last VW beetle has now rolled off their production lines so I thought it was time to celebrate this iconic little car with a custom LEGO build. The first Beetle was produced in 1945 and with over 21.5 Million Bugs being made that makes it the longest running and most produced car ever.
Herbie was a cheeky VW Beetle racer with a mind of its own decked out with a white paint job with blue and red stripes and Number 53 trim.
Six movies were made starting with the Love Bug in 1968 and ending with the instantly forgettable remake Herbie Fully Loaded starring Lindsey Lohan in 2005. Despite the lacklustre reboot the popularity of the Herbie Icon remains with clubs and motor show appearances of replicas still going.
So if you ever feel like building this set digitally or if you want to build the Herbie mod, let me show you how.

I love how you used the accurate “53” font! Not a lot of people get that right. Very nice mod! All Herbie is missing is his gray sunroof, but that’s an easy enough fix with a sticker I imagine

I am really glad they did as much of his emotions practically as they did which was nice. Though did go a little over the top when he goes full CGI and cartoony when the bad guy’s back is turned. It’s completely out of left field and does make Herbie feel less grounded when that’s the only time he’s ever done something like that.

They’d need permission from Disney, and Volkswagen too. Well, they have VW’s permission, but I think Disney’s done with Herbie. Damn shame, too. Herbie was a massive part of my childhood.

I’m currently piecing together a mod of this set sans the surfboard and cooler. Also changing the color if I can find the right amount of pieces. I was trying to figure out the roof mod. However in this video you provided what I needed thank you for that. 👍🏽

I really like your VW Hebie Bug do have any instructions or list of the parts i would need to get maske make this modal, i can i would need to change the blue parts for white parts but i cant see how you get the 53 and the red and blue stripes, my partner is into VW`S im sure she would love to see this modal on the shelf thanks FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME

i also love this moc/edit very much. I grew up with herbie and i watched almost all the movies. he/she (forgot what term we use for herbie) is my favorite movie car aside from the general lee and the KITT car.
