I think the modular system is interesting, but I hope it doesn't become a de facto standard for how all Creator buildings (or Creator sets in general) are done. I like my Creator houses having four walls, to set them apart from the usual dollhouse stuff. But at least these modulars are way, waaaay more successful than last year's "mini modular" vehicles that were probably the worst stuff I've seen released by LEGO in the last decade.

Nice review of course, but I'm very disappointed that these new CREATOR sets don't have any options for a full 3D build like CREATOR has been doing for several years now. I've built my LEGO down around the idea of complete buildings that split in the middle, as opposed to the façade style in which there is no back. I know I can MOC, but I've just really liked the CREATOR sets over the past years enough to actually bring me back to LEGO.

I think LEGO has been greatly improving with encouraging variations of minifigure combinations. I suppose it has reduced in the Creator theme, but in the City theme we see complete encouragement with the minifigures included in Fun in the Park and Fun at the Beach, and those two City sets have both gender specific and non-gender specific pieces.

I feel like the creator buildings and houses these days just seem too unfinished (excluding the expert modular buildings). They just seem incomplete and crowded... I miss the older creator house sets from like 2008, if only those had interiors

I think the current houses are dreadful. I agree that they seem unfinished and cluttered. The older ones were way better. I bought two 6754 sets in about 2010 plus some extra roof tiles and were able to build a really nice house. This would be impossible with the current house sets.

I liked that creator homes were closed on all sides and hinged open. This one doesn't seem to be like that. The exterior details are nice but at the same time it looks a little too busy.

Looks like a promising system, even if a little flimsy. Gotta start somewhere. The fact they also made a couple more little sets that add-on, that is a bit of a nice surprise. I'm guessing the sloped roof sections weren't open on side due to build limitations, would have needed support to keep the roof up. Curious to see what these add-ons are like next :)

Hi Jang! As always, nice work on the video! Now, I have missed like two years of creator sets. When did they start making this opened buildings (friends style) I dislike this. I get that you can create a closed one by moving around stuff, but you would have to buy more sets to make something of a decent size. Anyway, thank you so much for the review.

I like the simple set the best. It had a bathroom! I do hate the modular system though. I bought a house from that system and things feel apart so easy!!!!!! Uggggh!

I WANT, I have noticed that some of the latest creater sets is kinda modular, such as the sandwich shop, the Parkside home (idk the actual name) and the grocery store and we'll there is a post office build with it but that one isn't as much modular

this is like a smaller version of the family house set. I got that set a few years ago, built it, and then my brother destroyed it with a basketball. and I LOVED it tho. Although I'm a bit old now to play with Lego, I'll still build it. I wil always have a passion for lego :)

I would love to see a super build if you plan on doing the other smaller modular sets too! Great video though showing the playability of using the modular system. The video show cases a lot more than the pictures can do on the box, and that makes it much more enticing to go out and purchase. Great stuff!

Modular-ity and customize-ability built into LEGO sets always make me scratch my head a little in confusion. Isn't the whole point just to rebuild everything anyway? It is LEGO after all. I guess It can be argued that it is for younger builders, but even then, isn't the whole appeal of LEGO the ability to create anything?

I really like the look of this set. I only wish there were walls all around, would be better for display. In one of the pics for the golf hotel, the kid minifig uses the axe as a golf club - I thought that was a neat, creative detail.

Im so torn about this set, its good they are trying new things and I like the residential buildings. However I really liked with the other creator buildings that they were hinged so I could fold them to be fully enclosed, also I found the recent lighthouse to be very frustrating with the "modular" sections being very flimsy and falling apart with slight movement and I can see that being an issue here by the looks of it. Be interesting to see the 3 sets together and if an enclosed build is possible.

2:58 I like the modular feature! It's more customizeable that way, without altering the overall build! But they should've used peg connections, not flat brick ones! 5:23 I like the golf course feature! I don't think I've ever seen a lego golf course before! 12:41 that's cool! I like Lego creator buildings! they have nice smaller features to them, and they can easily be placed in areas next to a wall!

Sometimes with the female specific torsos, if it's just the pinched waistline I think you can see them as pockets and get away with using them as male torsos.

On the First build, if you moved the toilet and rotate the module, the swimming pool/window can fit on the 4-wide connector without need of extra pieces.

I don't care for the modular thing they're trying to do. As if Lego even needs it..! Also, all three of the builds don't look cohesive to me. Way too many different colored layers makes them look like a jumbled mess. I very much prefer the older Creator houses.

Same. I prefer the old style of creator, the flip-open doll house look. Like, take the Toy and Grocery Shop, or the Park Street Townhouse for example, those old ones have the best of both worlds going for them as they can be opened up for accessibility and play, and closed up for a complete looking display. This new modular facade style reminds me of City sets.
