back in my days there was but one Lego motor, it was round and powered by 3 C-cells, later on they had a square one with a 9V block or I believe it was 6 AAs and that was fine an dandy for more then a decade :)

Yes, there were times... new motors and variety are good, but it's a pity that LEGO often changes contact standards at the same time, which leads to incompatibility.

to be fair you would most likely get different results with only one hooked up to the battery box at a time.

Right. Or take 8 separate battery packs at once and connect each motor to each unit. But the values in the data table, of course, were measured separately and just added as background information to this video.
