In your Feb 14 video titled FINISHING my LEGO CITY Breakdown! You put the traffic lights in a smaller box with trees at around the 7:20 mark. Good chance they didn’t stay there but maybe if you find that tote you might find the lights.

Did you ask Simon if he knows where the traffic lights are? Otherwise you might have to get Josèe to find them. You know what they say, you can’t really count something as lost until a mom can’t find them. I love the vehicle placement and fountain build. In the courtyard in front of the Lego store you could create a town square with buskers, art and craft vendors, and other stories along those lines.

Hi Bricksie. So glad yo now have vehicles in the City. They're colourful, detailed and just right for the spots they occupy. The fountain strip is beautiful. I love the tiled surround. A great day's progress!

You should add a few picnic tables near the food trucks. Great opportunity for minifig stories

A couple points: 1) I think most people are saying to switch the Boutique hotel and the university so the Hotel can border the canal. Benefit from that is that with the switch, you may be able to integrate the hospital on the opposite side near the wall 2) I think some kind of art/statue park with tables, places to exercise, etc could be near the lego store/pedway 3) City looks great! Love the downtown updates!

Love seeing all the cars and details being added! For in front of the Lego store put a courtyard with picnic tables like some parks have. Would have good scene usage out of it some figs playing checkers maybe having a picnic, etc.

You could put some cones and barriers on the road where the food vehicles trucks are. Have like a closed off food festival thing with a police car stopping traffic etc. add loads of minifigs and make some stories :)

The new fountain area looks great! I think it would be cool if for the plates in front of the LEGO store to lay down road plates/custom roads and put picnic tables or other small forms of entertainment on top, kind of like how roads are closed in New York City for small street fairs.

Be creative about what you add in front of the LEGO store. Most stores (those not in front of stores in malls) have something big and creative in front of them. Also, I love the new walkway and the water with fountains. It looks great!
@bricks_in_space5 ай бұрын
When you started talking about that open space in front of the grand emporium I thought to myself, that would look great with a fountain and then you build an epic fountain and it far exceeded my mental one. Love all the vehicles. I saw an old smaller vintage pick up truck in your pile of cars. I could not find where you placed it but it would fit right in on the gravel road heading to the country side.

For the plate in front of the Lego store, think about taking inspiration from the bigger Lego stores - like the one in Downtown Disney with the Lego sea serpent in the water. Its a creativity opportunity for sure.

For the valet parking next to the hotel, can you do a building to make it seem as an underground car garage? With that small space, it seems you can only fit 4-6 valet cars. The underground car garage would make sense to acommade the hotel guests or make this garage near your downtown shopping area where it can be underground and several levels above ground as well.
@vincenthayward75995 ай бұрын
You should make a small market area in that blank baseplate next to the hotel area under that bridge. Couple of benches small market stalls or maybe even a food truck!

You mentioned crazy magnet methods of moving vehicles? Yes everything is possible.. but made me think what about a simpler solution of a motorised winch and translucent nylon that could potentially pull a few cars in a straight line?… could also work on boats. Sure they’d only go in one direction and you’d have to reset it but even a couple of moving vehicles could look cool from a distance. You could probably rig up some cable system for planes and helicopters like they do in the German miniature wonderland.. everything is possible ❤

@bricklover22585 ай бұрын
You should add the coffee cart from the boutique hotel and ice cream stand from the grand emporium outside the bookshop and make that fountain area kind of a less busy food area in your city. While the food trucks might be well known foods maybe the story can be the the ice cream and coffee in your city can be hidden gems of food much like a pizza place is in a town not far from me. I try to go to this place every time I am in town since it only has 1 location, and it's just great food.

I'm enjoying the city build. Just my opinion, I would put the boutique hotel on the canal. If I was a Lego minifigure staying in a fancy hotel, I would rather have a water view than a train track view 😂. I'd just swap the university and the hotel. But overall, I really think everything is coming together nicely, it all looks great
