The classic elements of the boat are really cool. And then the amazing story with the treasure and the nosy victim is really the cherry on the top. I love it.

I had both these sets 4030 and 4031. I did so many chores and saved up to get them, they were my favourite as a kid. Glad you got to live out your childhood dream, and make a cool MOC in the process. They were neat sets.

Absolutely love this build. A friend of mine had this ship when we were growing up, but I always collected the Space range as that was my favourite. Also the Customs official needs a name and I nominate Norman Jobsworth for it.

Yet another great build and back story. I love how you added the cclors of you harbour. The red white yellow and blue are. great mix. The cargo ship sets were hard to find when I was a child. The only ship I have is the orange and white coast guard ship . I was just wondering is hard to find the classic ship halls. Have a great weekend. Love your Channel.😀

Sorry, before the internet you only had paper catalogs? I grew up *with* the internet, and still spent hours looking through paper catalogs wishing I had some of the sets. I will say, as a point when it comes to this set, given the hatches, I'd call it along the lines of a bulk carrier rather than a container ship, so no need to add containers to it. However, if you can get some 'coal' or 'wood' or similar to fill up the hold, that might work, even if it's a detail nobody can see.

The bent mast might work well in a ship wreck. To hint at the treasure, maybe have one small piece sticking out of door or on the deck. If you want to have something hanging from the crane, you could have another victim hanging over the scorpion pit. Perhaps with their money/treasure dropped to the deck to be scooped or swept into the other hold? Maybe a pirate flag hanging inside the ship or that can be flapped down over those front windows or between the engines? A treasure map or tricorn hat inside would also work- I just think it needs a touch more to hint at the piracy. Perhaps the he is loaded up with treasure and in the harbor to sell it on the black market?

Just my ideas, if you would like to use them: maybe a hidden cannon on your cargo ship? And a few white accents near the bow, possibly some round posts? The red parts on the cargo doors contrasts maybe a bit too much with the white doors, maybe try replacing those red parts with white? Looks good as it is though!

I love the design but i think you should leave one of the hatches in the treasure hold slightly ajar and also i think the bridge should have wings like on other large ships (basically like a small platformy thing sticking out of the sides for a better view) and it could have one of the crew with binoculars or something on it, and i think a small lifeboat on the back would be pretty nice and finally extend the masts and include the proper ship navigational lights (research it if you feel like it)
