I think this set looks good but I am a little disappointed on how small it is Mabye if the didn’t include the carriage and made it a bit bigger I would have liked it more also I with it had more dermstrang students other than Viktor Crum. I do like that we got an Egor though. I give this set 8/10

Hmmmmmmm. Ideally, of course I’d love more! But there is a ton of new prints in here I see why we didn’t. But you’re right, one more student from each school could’ve still fit in the set. I will say, something I didn’t touch on that I wanted to at the end of the video was about how the set is called “Triwizard Tournament: …” To me, I hope that means and I suspect next year or in future years we’re going to see some more trials and moments from the Tournament

As far as remakes are concerned, I think this set accomplished the same feat as the Shrieking Shack set released in 2022 in that it features a brilliant design and well-incorporated details. Despite being only a Lego Harry Potter Collector, I have to admit seeing this ship made me long for Lego to reboot the Pirates of the Caribbean line of sets as I can't imagine what they could pull off with a Black Pearl or Flying Dutchman set of this scale. Fantastic Video as always.

When it comes to this set, the piece count definitely went up. The haul of the ship were like two or three pieces. Here it’s all brick built. And build technique - 100% LEGO has come a long way from twenty years ago, heck even ten years ago

I'm going to be completely honest, Ashnflash. This whole review was hard to watch. It's a good set. But you choose to ignore any possible issues the set has during the review process. Stickered shields? Who cares! You DIDN'T even say that the carraige being small was a con, just that it was amazing for still resembling the source material. You act amazed that it includes the goblet of fire and the triwizard cup, "as a bonus." Most of us pay for this, there are no bonuses in something you have to pay for. Ashnflash, during this whole review you use terms that refer to this set as a gift that was given to you. You only compliment it. When you are reviewing a lego set you have to understand that the people who actually have to buy it actually have to pay REAL money for it. I dont blame you for being in the LAN. But, I encourage you to try to view the sets you review as things you have to pay hard earned money for.

So let me start of by saying I appreciate and welcome your criticism. However you are off touch here with a number of things. Let's start with some backstory. I joined the LAN in 2020. My first ever set they sent me was actually Diagon Alley. So that means for three years, I was there DAY ONE buying each and every set from the theme. I only began reviewing the sets in 2020, and that Summer I had them imported from the UK to Canada. Which cost me an insane amount of money. Since joining LAN, it wasn't until recently where I have been being sent HP consistently. Which means I still have been buying HP sets myself. Sometimes, never reviewing them. I'm buying them as a fan because I missed out on all this as a kid with HP. I do the same thing with SW, I've done 21 reviews going back 2018. And yet I've purchased over 100 sets for the theme, and you'll never see an official review on it. So now that that's out of the way let me address your comments one by one. #1 The shield stickers. Your criticism is subjective. I'm not someone who hates stickers, I never have been, probably never will be. When it comes to a one off thing like this, expecting four shields to be printed and never be used again is asking a lot. HP uses their budget VERY wisely. I personally would much rather they save the cost of those four prints for something else. IE. the incredible four new Hogwarts uniforms in the Advent Calendar which is a set that could never have stickers, and would need to be printed. #2 I didn't say the carriage being small was a con because subjectively, to me, it is not. It's smaller to be more in scale with the ship. The carriage didn't even need to be here, it could've been it's own thing. But I think it adds something to this. And wanting it to be big like the other one, would not work with the scale. It still accomplishes everything it needed to at this size. #3 "Most of us pay for this, there are no bonuses in something you have to pay for" they are a bonus. Whether I paid for this sent or got this for free. OBJECTIVELY, they are a bonus. They do not fit in with this scene at all and are nice "additions" if you don't want to use the word bonus. For example, the new Maleficent Dragon set that I'll be buying myself, the three ferries being in there. That's a fun bonus for the set, and a unique idea they've never done. I don't need to purchase something to have these thoughts. #4 I rewatched the entire video, I'm not sure what terms I used that referred to this as a gift that was given to me. Maybe you're referring to instances where I talk about how I'm so happy that this set exists because we've been waiting so long for this remake. But I'm not sure. #5 About thinking about people who have to buy this set. I would have been there DAY ONE to purchase this set or have it imported. This is an incredible set, something that myself and many others have been waiting to get. You'll definitely see tomorrow (or many other previous reviews), I have no problem criticizing sets. But in this instance, I REALLY love this set. And just because you find a fault in the set, it doesn't mean that I will see it as a problem or vice versa. Often times in other reviews I've been called "nit-picky" or "the most negative person on KZbin" so I can't please everyone. Thanks for reading 👍

Like to me, this set has a small number of minifigures compared to other similarly priced Harry Potter playsets. It's a good set, but it certainly isn't objectively perfect. I know that you are often more critical, I've watched tons of your videos. That's why I'm asking for you to try to see sets from multiple points of view, even if they are your personal favorite types of sets.
