This game proves that if the developers know what they are doing - a game can be optimized to perform well on any platform. This could be the 2nd Unreal Engine 5 game on Switch - Fortnite being the other one. Sony/Guerrilla knows how to develop for the Switch - I hope there will be more Playstation games for Switch.

Because this wasn't made by the company that normally makes Lego games but by Sony's in-house studio led by a dude that had literally just left a Nintendo dev team

The NSW was the lead platform, so the game is designed with the weakest hardware in mind. It does look great on NSW, but I'm guessing that the significant decrease in destructible environmental items was a result of trying to minimize the CPU load on the practically ancient NSW hardware (which, BTW, is still my all-time favorite console).

Holy crud. The sheer lack of footage made believe that the switch version was going a complete nightmare. But seeing it not only run smoothly but looking so close to the versions in higer-end devices? I'm honestly impressed. I mean, FPS, resolution and shading still had to step down a little for it to look good. But it's just a little! I've seen games that look gorgeous in other devices be completely ruined in their switch ports. I understand that working with an experimental 7yo portable console with a tight deadline is dificult, period. But the contrast between games that successfully adapt and those that fail catastrophically is so stark. It trully is hit or miss.

i feel like we have moved on from the horribly ported handheld devices era of 7th gen and 8th gen, while they were impressive, it didn't look nearly close as the home console counterpart (psvita was barely touching ps3 graphics level back then) honestly if developers want to the switch can definitely get closer to current gen (9th gen) graphics

Kinda crazy to think that we now have two Unreal Engine 5 games running on an 8-year-old handheld. (The first being Fortnite.) The game looks better and more realistic on the PS5, but the Switch version looks surprisingly good.

Noticed colour palette is brighter on the Switch and also when you see the tallneck, beams of light shine through one Switch but not PS5.

They are not bad at all and honestly as owner of all.the lego games on switch, tbis is by far the best one visually stunning on switch oled screen, really nice shadows and moving light beam effects and environmental.animations am really.impressed with this.

@Sam_Porter69 I've had a PS5 since 2021 and I'm just as sick of "cross-gen" games like any person, but these games that miraculously run on the switch are being falsely personified as experiences that can only be enjoyed on the newest hardware which is a blatant lie because the switch is miles behind a PS4's specs. Mortal Kombat 1, Life is Strange Double Exposure, Star wars Jedi Survivor now Lego Horizon Adventures is all part of this "scam" like selling

They been more focused on the ps5 console. They aren't going to waste time or resources on ps4. The ps4 console is 10 years old already.

​@@michaelrodriguez2981 Half of the active players are still on the PS4, and the console has the power to run it. If Sony 'wasted time' developing for the Switch, which is 8 years old, it wouldn't hurt to develop for the PS4, which is only 3 years older.

Unfortunately, I can’t buy it for the PS5 since I only have a PS4, and I’m not interested in the Switch version due to its lower performance. If it were available for PS4, I’d definitely get it, but since it’s not, I’ll wait a few years until the PS5 version drops below €20-and pick it up when I finally have a PS5!

Steam Deck version is better than Switch - you get 60FPS and with mod you can get DLSS/DLAA and better visuals.
