This was the last Star Wars Lego set I purchased until TFA came out. I think I bought just about every set from the original X-Wing until the tail-end of sets from AOTC. I never owned a non-yellow Star Wars character. I found it interesting that the black Tatooine outfit Luke wore on this minifig was used in other sets to represent his alternate black costume like in set 7201.

I might be in the minority on this but I think I actually prefer these less detailed Lego Star wars minifigs then the more modern ones not out of any nostalgic reasons or anything but mostly because I always thought the whole point of Lego sets is to partly use your imagination and the way I see it the more detailed the minifigs are the less imagination you end up using.

Yes! Finally someone that I can agree with. I think that the modern LEGO sets are way too detailed, and not just the Star Wars ones.

I prefer legos more modern style of buildings and parts, but i think 2002-2008 was when lego peaked in minifigure design. For example those 2006 Batman figures still hold up well and look great nowadays, sometimes better then legos more recent versions of those characters.

love the original sets, even though they are no where near as good as the newer ones they have something special about them and bring back memories! just wish they are not as expensive now days, btw love the outro!

Have seen your site off and on over the years. You have the best database on the web when it comes to Jabba related things. I had this set when I was young, as well as the other two smaller sets that connected to it featuring Bib Fortuna and the frozen Han Solo. I was so proud of these sets, but it was the original Sail Barge that still to this day is the one old Lego set I still own and am most proud of. I spent years wanting to expand on the Sail Barge and make it bigger.

When I was a kid I had Jabba’s Palace and I had the Bib Fortuna set. My biggest regret in life is not getting the set with Boba Fett.

I got this set awhile back I think I put a little too much for it though. However I got all three sets, every character, and the instructions only thing I didn’t get with it was the boxes unfortunately.

you are suppose to turn around the blow horn that bo-bo fett is holding and then it sort of looks like a blaster? that also was befor the lego star wars blasters that we know today were released. those came out in 2007. also usually the blow horn would havr a trans red or blue stud on the tip
