Technically the Emporium has a toy store but it's older and not nearly as detailed as some of the newer interiors.

The only thing I’m disappointed by is the fact that the pizza/tailor shop can’t be disconnected similarly to the bookshop set. Just a little hope I had, but honestly doesn’t ruin the set, I think it looks wonderful! Excited to see it in person!!

But then so many pieces are used for the inner wall so it was either bump up the price significantly or make the building smaller

Idk if this has been a thing for some time with Lego pizzas, but I love how the pizza isn’t one flat tile but the 4 little round corner pieces so you can take just a slice of pizza. Hopefully there’s multiple of them and maybe even an alternate print for some different toppings

I do wish the two buildings were able to be split but that's no big deal. My biggest complaint is that the pizzeria is so short. I really wish it was at least two bricks taller or just a three story building... Half the mini figs are weak as well so I will probably swap the heads on a three or four of them.

That pizza slice looks like Pizza Margherita, which is a style of pizza made in Naples, Italy.

I love the modulars but have never gotten one, yet. Maybe this is the one for me to get. the Jazz club reminds me of a coffee shop we used to go to and we love pizza lol. We always wanted a green house. The bassist having a hearing aid . . . I am a bassist and have hearing aids. Kinda like this was designed for me lol time to start saving.

I like it ok and will pick it up at some point. Super disappointed you cannot separate the buildings; really limits options. Also not so realistic i think that a jazz club would be conmected to a pizza parlor if i heard correctly that you can walk from one to the other. I think am going to build the boutique hotel jazz club alternative build. I also thought of a seinfeld stage for this ! I probably will repurpose these buidlings. Do love the stained glass windows and the yellow color of the pizza building.

Why did you say that the set comes with a cello? That is an upright bass. It is clear to see. The shoulders round up and the corners on the c bouts are not like violin corners.

It makes me happy that EVERY SINGLE REVIEW I've seen does not have a single mention of the Bassist's hearing aid. I know heads with hearing aids printed are nothing ground-breakingly new.. but, if I'm not mistaken, that's a NEW hearing aid head print! The other one doesn't have facial hair. I suppose hearing aids are common place, now, so it just goes under the radar.

I really love the look of the set except for one thing. I don’t really like the bright blue color in front of the jazz club. I kinda wish they had just carried the color from the sides around, or just used some kind of more neutral or earthy color.

I can’t quite see the logic in scrapping the printing press to be honest. Also if the idea was to not have overlap on a theme…what about the Ideas Jazz band they released? Both are in the 18+ age range as far as a Lego collector would be concerned so that’s gonna cut into things. Also, isn’t there already a theatre style build for the Friends line on the market for that matter? Honestly, this is probably gonna be a skip for me. I was excited for a Pizza parlor if only to see what other kind of references and throwbacks they could include to pizzeria’s past, maybe all the way back to Lego Island for that matter. As is this all looks lovely and i’m sure it’s not lacking in spirit or character. Just doesn’t really appeal to me.

If someone were to ask me to pick a modular theme, a jazz club would be FAR down on the list, so it's probably the main reason i'm not too excited for it. They should have made the Pizzeria the star instead. Everyone can relate to pizza !! Who wouldn't want a Pizzeria in their town? Missed opportunity.

Who else thinks a Lego chapel will be amazing. The colorful windows and the everything in all gray. Just look up Lego custom chapel online and you’ll see what I mean, but Lego probably won’t do it because it show a religion that not all Lego fans are

I cant remember, are Black skin colour legomen also yellow? I expected to see some in the Jazz set. Although I'm not too well versed in Lego and don't know the ruling on if they make brown lego characters brown/black.
