One of my favourite new sets released on 1st June was 60440 Lego Delivery Truck. But it looks a bit weird in my city with no LEGO Store to deliver to, so we needed to fix that problem! This Rebrickable MOC takes 3 copies of 40574 Lego Brand Store and combines them into one 32x32 baseplate 2 storey modular building without needing to buy any additional parts other than those included in the set. And it looks great next to the delivery truck in my Lego city!

Anna will not be happy with the accessibility issues with the top floor! Especially if that’s where the Lego sharks are sold.

Thanks for the video, I ordered the same MOC and also did a build of the standard set and linked to your channel. Like you said a few things need cleaning up, but awesome overall.

I did the rebrikable botanical garden from friends. It was based on 2 of the set and few more pieces. I love it. It was from brick artisan 😊

Nice! I literally yesterday finished my first MOC with 3 of these Lego sets, I’m really happy with it. I took inspiration from all the different rebrickable Lego stores but I made my own 👌🏻

That is a cool lego store. I agree a real lego store would only be 16x32. Try the 801103 Chinese celebration modular.

I just bought 2 of these sets and I want to build a Lego store on a 16x32 MILS plate. I really want to have stairs instead of a ladder. Trying to figure out how … 😊. A Lego employee is really missing here.
@blockpartyuk
@blockpartyuk Ай бұрын
Yeah, would love an employee! The 2 set rebrickable instructions are on a 16x32 plate, so should be easy enough to squeeze some stairs in.

I’m not going to give out instructions from somebody else’s design. People put a lot of time and effort creating stuff like this, they should be able to make some money off their work.

I'm about your age a desperately need to find a hobby to fill my time. Logo cities look cool but some of the figures (£s) mentioned in your videos are incredible. How much has it cost you to get to the stage you are at now and how much do you think your city (12 by 4 base plates) will cost? I'm trying to weigh up whether I should start to get into this or not, rather than rush into it and fail due to lack of funds. Thanks
@blockpartyuk
@blockpartyuk Ай бұрын
I don’t want to think about how much we’ve spent on Lego, but a lot of it is for display/anna’s room rather than the city. I think a decent rule of thumb is that on average it’s probably around £100 per baseplate, considering Modular’s are around £200 each, but lots of plates are taken up with road/rail, etc. But a standard city my size without multiple levels, etc, you’re probably looking at around £5000 to completely fill it.
@edwardbanks6200
@edwardbanks6200 Ай бұрын
@@blockpartyuk Thanks for responding. At first I was shocked at the figures involved but after thinking about it, a lot of people probably spend that kind of money on alcohol in a year. Spending £5000 on a lego city isn't money that you will never see again, a lot of what you own will probably go up in price therefore I should look at it as invested money not wasted money. Thanks, im off shopping tomorrow.
@macnavi
@macnavi Ай бұрын
@@edwardbanks6200My modulars only went up in price. Those will always keep their value. But you have to make sure you’ll be able to find all the parts back if you would sell it on. Incomplete sets lose a lot of their resales value.
@TTHMD
@TTHMD Ай бұрын
Im sorry, just use extra parts to make the build more cohesive ... I dont get why not make it more nice, the back could have been more well done if you used extra parts.
@blockpartyuk
@blockpartyuk Ай бұрын
I may well do in time, but not everyone has loads of spare parts lying around, so I wanted to follow the instructions and do it the cheapest way possible so people could see the result. And you’ll never see the back in my city anyway!

I've seen this set quite a bit in videos recently but it doesn't appear to be available here in the U.S. I like this build though I'd have to put in a staircase and clean up the odd pieces in the walls for my own.

You have to go to an actual store to get one here. They’re not online. If you do have a store near you I’d call first. They sell out pretty quickly. It took me a minute to find one. I’m in Illinois. Chicago area.
