Absolutely love finally seeing someone start from the very beginning and explain the creative early process. The hardest thing about mocs is the beginning and getting started with a concept. Would love if you take us through each and every step. Appreciate all your amazing work and videos!

Have you considered using the area in front of the mountains as a seasonal display? Winter village, Halloween/fall, spring etc? You could keep the same buildings and add the seasonal "flair" or swap them out for individual MOCs. This would be a great way to make the traveling display interesting each time you take it out and show it off. Same mountains, new village kind of thing.

Great idea! I do have quite a few buildings I could swap. I’ve shears wanted to do this in the bigger city but never had time.

@@MrBookieboo Yeah I’ve considered doing a full season change to my setup but its a lot of work. A smaller section is definitely more manageable especially if you plan to travel with it to shows.

This concept was exactly what I did for Brickworld this year. I built my city garden MOC to take and when it came home, it went right into the city. And if can easily come back out if I want to take it somewhere else, so this is entirely want I plan to do moving forward if I take stuff somewhere to display. I don't have a lot of extra room for large MOCs or anything like that. Regarding supports, have you ever tried working with duplo and/or quatro to expand upwards quickly while using less bricks? I've used it a lot, but I've never traveled with it yet. Just curious if you've looked at that.

Thank you for the comment. I’ve found duplo to be really expensive for what you get. I rarely have luck finding used stuff at garage sales. I use bright colored brick, panels, and supports for the structure underneath. More of that in the next video 😉

Hi Mark. Intrigued to understand how these mountains will integrate with those in your city - if they not to be stand-alone. Also I think you said you intended to have straight sides in DBG but if so the left-hand one will need to be quite high to reach the height required for the road tunnel in that position all the way at the left end, so isn't that going to look kinda odd if you want to use them as a display piece? Keep up the interesting discussions and rganks for sharing. / Max

Good questions! I may do a small add-on piece for the tunnel side so it’s not just a flat surface. I can get fairly high with the mountains with 32 studs of depth. My prior tunnel had the mountain extend all the way to the ground so I may try to do something similar 🤔
@WelcometoEuphoria7 ай бұрын
@@MrBookieboo yes, that would make sense. In effect would have an additional small module on the left used for display purposes only. Alternately you could move the tunnel over one baseplate to the right.

You build the same way that I do. 😅

😃 floor building is the best. Not so good for my back, though.

These modules are basically moduverse - I'd suggest you'd check it out

I've cheated with my mountains and rock faces - simply because I have quite a lot of them and just can't afford the sheer amount of bricks required - let's just say - LEGO would NOT approve! But I like the way it looks and to me, that's all that matters! 🙂 My layout - my rules! I look forward to seeing how you go (and how many bricks you'll use!!!) I do like the Sterilite drawers - I seriously need to look into them...
