I have to say Jordan, well done! I watched three reviews and you are the only person to find the instruction error. The wrong build instructions cause you to need to turn the crank in the opposite unnatural direction. Thanks for catching it because it makes the crank function more enjoyable. Much appreciated!

This arguably one of the coolest sets I've seen. It looks great, the play features are exactly what you expect from it and more. The characters on top look perfect, and in general it's just a fantastic display piece. That said, I do think it's for a niche group. It's fairly large, which is cool, but harder to put it somewhere, and the group of people who played on these machines is not as big as a bunch of the Nintendo stuff. That's not a negative, but makes the group smaller that wants it. As for pricing, I honestly don't think it's a huge issue. They could make it cheaper for sure, but I think that most people either really want this, and will buy it regardless, or they don't really care.

I agree like others that it is a bit pricey but maybe because very niched. I am still considering getting this set. Thank you pointing out the mistake in the directions. Going to have to come back the video to correct it.

I think the Atari was a lot more niche than the Pacman arcade. When the Atari released in 1977 its MSRP was $189.95 which in 2023 would be $950.89. That's crazy expensive in both eras and didn't sell well, esp in comparison to Xbox or PS now. So it was much more common for kids/adults to go to arcades to play Pacman. Also think most millennials and zoomers could tell you what Pacman is but not Atari. I get your point in general though, that the percentage of Lego fans that have an affinity for Pacman probably isn't massive, unlike Nintendo. I think this will sell a lot better than the Atari, although the price might deter things a bit

Yeer it's a nice build😊👌 ..but no tv. Build ..😢 and ...that's what help the Mario one. A little better ..an haveing the screen move like the game is playing. An that's what help s to make this Pac man one..okay cas if it was just pannle as the screen with the game as sticker .it wouldent be as great ..yeer it's a logo set ..an not a real arcade. But this set. Is great to look at an most arcade machine..ain't much. It the game part ..on the screen..U look at ..so with this build U get a lovley red ball joy stick an it looks real. The coin slot lights up. It's got a score counter that move s and the main. Part. The screen ..so it's a grovey build. .cas some people s will be amazed when thay cee it. An not know it's Lego .it's a great looking build. Just as good as... nes an Atari .. 😊 the thru have thay good points about them... A tv build for the Atari .would be cool to add to the set. An have one or two of the legal from two game so you can chandge the diffrent game s on the screen...if thay do a play station or X box .build as set s. I be less interested compared to the NES an Atari .Pac man...are the best three for Shaw .may be the Sega 1..could be another one .or first cd megga drive . .

In 1981, just everyone had an Atari - your statement that it didn't sell well is just plain wrong. The kids in families with more money had an Intellivision and a bit later on a ColecoVision. I'm gen-X by the way, and back then my family lived in typical middle/upper middle class America.

The big black technic "plate" isn't a new piece regarding the shape of it as there are 2 of these in the spike prime set (for robotics) and 2 other sets for robotics. Regarding the colour though it is the first time it is produced in black, previous it has been in yellow dark turquoise and medium azure.

I was doing the 3-in-1 pirate ship and noticed an error in those instructions too, no biggy but as you said, you’d think they’d notice it before printing.

I had the small home version on the Pac-Man arcaded growing up, but I think it was smaller than this. Between this, the NES, Atari, the cassette with Baby Groot, and the VHS in the Disney villain icons set, I want to set up a retro technology lego display.

Looks sick - only point i have to make is that you should perhaps move some of the gears around slightly so the ghosts and pack man are parallel to the base.

Great new set. I'm personally a huge retro game fan. I would love to see some more characters or games getting a look. Like a galaga jet fighter. Dig dug guy. TMNT might be cool. Other bands they could make cool graphics like they did with rolling stones.

I think the two larger stickers should've been printed on because those will stick out a lot more than the smaller ones though I kinda get why as if those two stickers were prints, this set would've been pushing around $349.99 U.S. Since I have the Atari, I kinda want this too, I've just gotta make space for it.also agree larger stickers are easier than smaller stickers as noted when I built the Nisaan Skyline). While I am a retro fan, I hope this sells well enough for LEGO to give us an SNES, Genesis or a PS1. P.S. I think the blue thing looks like a garbage can you'd see in an arcade but not 100% sure. Great review Bricksie and awesome you pointed out the error in the instructions and how to fix it.

I originally thought the blue build was an old garbage can....but now im wondering if its the old coin dispenser machine. Back in the day there was a quarter dispensers to break paper bills in arcades. Could be either.

Overall, I really like this set even though I'm not a Pack Man fan. Maybe a lego should take a few dollars off of the set because of both errors. The part number and the instruction errors.

I would have bought just the brick built Pac-Man with all the Ghosts and base for $40-50 and the small diorama set of the arcade game and MiniFigure for $10.

It is very cool ..yes its only a lego set ..but not only a lego set ..an this is great to look at ..a arcade machine is. Just to look at the screen ..an thats what make this lego build great. It include the screen. Chain to moce and the ghost an pac man move around the screen .is so good. Thay added that. Than it just pannle as a screen with the game as sticker s.
