So I'm thinking the reason the big white piece was made with sections that you just filled in with other white pieces is because that piece isn't made specifically for this set, so for other sets it's used in you need those extra spaces, but you don't for this set. Just a guess, though.

Peach doesn't get enough credit in the Mario universe imo, she's actually my favorite Mario character and the main reason i love Super Mario 3D World so much. Also it was bright and sunny outside when he started and pitch black dark outside when he finished, the lengths this man goes to appease his fans is truly commendable.

The indents you filled in on the big white plate are to make it easy for really little kids to connect other pieces to it. They’re designed to fit alongside other plates that puzzle-piece together in the 4+ range of sets. Since this isn’t a set for little kids, they just had you fill in the gaps

So rotating/revolving restaurants where a thing for a while on top of tall buildings, but a good amount of them had either turn off the rotation part or just closed down entirely. It just costs to much money to rotate the top part of a building. Plus it breaks down a lot, which costs even more money. Also, you how it is, one kid is left unattended and dies and then nobody wants to touch an idea anymore.
