As someone with limited shelf space this is exactly what I was looking for in a republic gunship. Big enough that it’s not a microfighter but small enough to fit on my shelf with my other Lego sets.

This and the Ghost are nice! The lack of interior space is great because it won't tempt me to get more troops.

I actually really like the scale for this gunship, I mainly don't like a few design choices in specific parts. The doors not splitting in two is both inaccurate and makes it harder to put figs in. The small front door area seems very neglected. Most gunships before this have had some sort of side build that can go in there, and honestly I could have understood removing that is they had made the circle inside the gray triangle a strong connection point for you to add custom built things like bubble turrets or floodlights. The stud shooters could've been left as decoration domes and replaced them with spring loaded shooters under the wings, which would've looked better and kept good functionality It's a good set, there's just a lot of small changes I think it needs so it could be perfect

It's minifigure scale, add some modifications and it's an absolutely perfect build. If I end up buying I'll probably sell the Fox figure (because it's ugly) and replace the helmets with some GCC ones (not a big fan of the new helmets).

This will probably be the only Coruscant Guard gunships we ever get. I don't even think an Advent calendar will ever have a miniature version of this ship. I'm telling you, this ship will be worth some money later on when regret sets in among the hardcore Lego fans and they realize that their attitude got in the way and prevented them from buying more of these amazing ships. Look, Lego has all of the rest of the 2020s to build a "normal" gunship, and I believe they will; they have been doing so since the early 2000s. We have gotten normal ones in 2002, 2008, 2013, and 2021. I doubt the UCS gunship will be the last normal one. Anyways... Is this set a bit smaller than previous versions? Oh yes. Is Commander Fox rocking an off-white chest printing? Definitely. Should we have a bad attitude and let this set slip through our fingers? No! Not at all. If we hate on this one so much, then we might not get a Wolfpack-themed gunship like so many fans want. This is my first gunship and I love it. It's not the 2013 one, but it's still an amazing set that collectors and hardcore fans will love or eventually love. I only hope we get some shockies soon in a battlepack to fill this gunship with.

@@personofinterest3534i looked at reference material of clones inside the troop bay and this 2023 gunship looks way more accurate as far as size. The gunship’s troop bay in universe is a lot smaller than you think.

I see a lot of pink torso's with the new Commander Fox (instead of white). I don't see that at your minifigure. Is it the light? Or are you just lucky?

The "pink" is just how Lego's white printing looks when printed on a red torso. This is not a new problem and has always been something that happens when Lego prints white on a dark color. Even the 2011 bomb squad clone trooper had this problem with the white print on his helmet.

@@kevinodw_ I agree that it doesn't look as good as it could, but there's nothing Lego can do about the way they print white without increasing production costs which, in turn, would increase the prices of the sets even more.

You spent literally three minutes talking about Padme's face, and then you called it a "tiny issue." It must be a pretty big "tiny" issue! I have the Republic Gunship from 2008, and, aside from the color scheme and some stability aspects, I wouldn't call this set much of an improvement. My biggest issue is the utter lack of accessories to go into the gunship.

I'd say describing it as a pretty big tiny issue is about right. Most people probably won't care, but as someone who has the scar on their face from a visible difference that was only finally removed a couple of years ago, this is personally it's a huge deal for me.

I get it; I have a mole on my face. Most of the time, I forget it's there and think it's no big deal. But it was almost photoshopped out in my graduation pictures, and I was surprised by how different I looked without it! So, yeah, given the choice, I would want a minifigure of myself to have that mole.
