The Bookshop was my first lego set, so it holds a special place in my heart. Parisian Restaurant might be my favorite though - I love the aesthetic and there is something about exterior stairs I find extra appealing. The new Tudor Corner might be giving it a bit of competition though - it just looks so good and has exterior stairs to boot. 😄❤

Perhaps a courthouse as a new alternate for the town hall? It would allow both to live in the same city, or you could leave the older style out and focus on the newer more highly detailed version

I've always just applied stickers using my fingers and lining them up two corners at a time. I got the Ahsoka's Duel on Peridea set for Christmas, and I applied the stickers using this method with pretty good results. It would be really nice if someone made a kind of template that was designed specifically for LEGO stickers. What I'm visualizing is like a carpenter's square with an overhanging lip that you can push up against two adjacent edges of a LEGO piece so that the lip is above the edges. Then you can place the sticker with the edges flush with the lip, so the sticker should be centered and square when you remove the template. This might not work well for stickers on curved surfaces or 1x4 plates with two studs, but it should at least work for most applications.

very nice list. taking a step back though got me thinking. we can probably agree that other manufacturers now not only provide more affordable pricing, but also better brick quality (color consistency), better printing quality and more innovation overall (see e.g. funwhole integrated lighting including custom cable management bricks). in contrast to e.g. star wars, modulars are not protected by IP and also don’t have desirable minifigs. i am therefore very curious as to the future of the lego modulars.

Boutique Hotel should have been higher on the list and I was actually surprised at how much I disliked building Assembly Square and the final results. There were so many bags per step it was a real slog to get through.

Corner Garage is still my favourite. Might be a bit of a sentimental choice as it is the first modular I bought.

Tudor Corner all day long. It’s a gorgeous building, gives you that perfect pub feel, the olde worlde building in a modern setting. This probably isnt a modular, more of an Ideas set but i’d like to see a Spanish Villa (with the Moor rounded minaret style building).

Brick separator is fine. The best way is just to use your hand if you have delicate hands. You grab the LONG SIDES’ of stickers with your thumb and middle finger so they barely touch the sticky part.

I think the Natural History Museum’s appeal is largely about nostalgia and not design. If you remove the classic LEGO references it is big, blocky, drab, and empty

Everyone puts Market Street on the bottom. But really I think it’s the Pet Shop. I actually like the Pet shop but many of the brown and red pieces end up breaking and I wish it was one large building dedicated to all sorts of pets. Ranking in order of release would be an easy way to do it though.

I really hope we get a nice detailed Hospital next in 2026... Probably we will get a new Town Square for 2027 as "20th Anniversary".

Great video! Congratulations. I just don't agree with the ranking given to the museum. I think it's ranking will drop a bit in the next years. I found it boring and expected more on the inside. Keep up the good work, happy new year

Angry comment. Loved the video, watch many of your videos, and one of the topics I've been searching for. Really liked the list, and think I agree. Looking forward to Tudor Corner. On another note, the CMF sets, I was hoping there would be an Animal Crossing CMF Serie in 2025. Do you have any favourites?

Congrats on 50K! I love your content and your takes on sets like these. A point of contention: Downtown Diner is the latest modular to feature a brick build lettered sign, coming out after the Palace Cinema. It was also the first to introduce turquoise as a dominant colour, before the Book Shop.

Tudor Corner has the looks - it’s striking, varied, and just has a lot going for it. Looking forward to eventually getting it. My first official Modular building was the Police Station, and I think it’s a total slam dunk package - awesome details and thoughtful interior designs for viewing and accessing, and great storytelling (as well as references to other sets). It’ll always hold a special place for me. Bonus in that it also fits in nicely if I wanted to put it next to the Marvel Modulars like Daily Bugle or Sanctum Santorum sets.

Detective's Office is my #1. Got me into collecting the modulars and building a city. What the city needs most (in my opinion) is a modular Post Office and I hope we got one for 2026.

Doubtful they will ever make anything similar but I am missing Fire Brigade and Townhall. I dont even necessarily want a redo just a building that represents those functions to complete the city row

A pretty conceptual gimmick for the Market Street is the fact that the floors are 16x16, which allows them to be rotated about with respect to lower floors. To accomodate this idea the stairs even come to the centre, leaving a gap in the middle of each floor instead of the typical stairs against a wall.
