4:54 you kinda got your wish. I think that they were originally those figures but the cross dimensional thingy that causes the short transformed them into what they are now. This is especially evident with the color of the GONK droid. Also I think that in the short they will show the gunship transforming into this ship, it would kinda explain the colors and the extra engines.

One important thing to note is that the gonk Droid is in similar colors to the old battle droid, and the Ackbar Trooper is wearing clone armor. So it really is a remix of the old minifigure lineup.

The comparison in minifigure selection between this set and 7163 actually looks quite good. I like that the SR-V0 Gonk droid has a similar colour scheme as the shiny B2, the Ackbar trooper is like the original P1 clone, and Jedi Bob is... well, he's Jedi Bob I love that they reworked 75333's flaws, most notably the gaps between the wings and the fuselage that they've now covered

I really love that the gunkdroid is the same colour scheme as the old super battle droid. Also the fact that his star fighter is in the style of Anakins customized star fighter from Clone Wars 2003 is also pretty awsome

You got this set early! AMAZING! Jedi Bob is as beautiful as the time we last saw him. 🤩 The ship is amazing and gives off vibes of both Obi-Wan's Starfighter, the Republic Gunship, and Anakin's Azure Angel Starfighter. mashed up into one. The Gonk Droid is alright (can't have enough to add to your droid collection, but yeah maybe a pearl sand blue SBD would've been cool too). And while the Ackbar (Mon-Calamari) Trooper is an unexpected addition, it still is a neat inclusion to the set. And if you're not interested in the minifigure, you can always turn it into spare clone armor (just get a clone helmet if you want the full trooper) and save the head to use for your Mon Calamari crew! Overall, excellent set that was well worth the wait!
