The thing with Anakin is that both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the SIth take place during the 2 worse weeks of Anakin's existence. He had 3 years between those films of being a pretty damn good Clone Wars war hero poster boy commander and leader. Sure, he had some issues with Clovis, and on Mortis where he went to the dark side, but you can't really blame him for those. And Clovis was a douche.
