I watched the orignal triology in the 90s since I was born 1989, but the prequels were the movies I watched in the cinemas as a 10-11 year old and I absolutely LOVED Jar Jar Binks and to this day I cannot understand the hate towards Jar Jar. He was always a perfect comedic fit to Star Wars for me.

Lego Star Wars is genuinely some of the most enjoyable stuff in the franchise. It doesn't take itself AT ALL seriously but still manages to have awesome pure star wars moments (lightsaber duel on top of a burning ship falling through the atmosphere, anyone?)
