Seems like LEGO has been adopting the strategy of pricing things high at the start bc you’ve got people who buy everything and will pay whatever (and maybe to discourage multiples?). Then eventually lowering the price as the set ages and the hype dies down.

Its to keep those who buy sets in bulk and then sell them online without sets from buying as many. It was a big issue with the last at at. People were buying the entire stock in a store, pricing gernal veers for 50, the pther figs for 10 each and the set for 100.

Having the cockpit hatch double as a missile hatch is genius. I was interested in this set for the minifigs but this build exceeds expectations

Well, the pilot sits in the head (hence the suggestion of the hatch) not the body, I reckon they were told "The Mandalorian is captured inside it." and they just had to guess that the body of it could hold him, rather than the cage thing in the series. It's kinda cute tho!

11:50 Thank you for recognizing and raising awareness that the American factories have slightly lesser print quality. I've been noticing this since 2018, and it actually makes me prefer ordering from European sellers rather than American. I'm not from America or Europe so it rarely matters to me from where I choose to order in terms of prices so the expected level of quality, while not being vastly different (for the untrained eye at least), is still the deciding factor for me.

I just finished building this set last night! I absolutely love it. I love the design and it comes from my favorite episode of the Mandalorian. It is so much fun to play with too thanks to how they did the legs. It's too bad LEGO didn't know about the cyborg creature but I built a simple one myself and put it inside the tank.

It is a shame the "pilot" wasn't included, but as you said, LEGO probably didn't know about that creature. Bo-Katan is looking good, aside from the helmet print not being white enough. That price is LUDICROUS though!

Was planning to get this set coz Bo Katan, new arm print and hair piece are awesome but after watching this video... having a second thought. I really don't like the "off white" colour on the helmet... not with that price tag

Glad to see that they're finally giving us a dark sabre that actually looks like the dark sabre... I'm tempted to get this because "mech" tank, but that temptation increases if it goes on sale.

I think as a scene, it makes a great and unique Lego set. However, personally id much rather lego just wait till they have all the information, and THEN create the set. The cyborg figure wouldve instantly improved every aspect of the set. I also thing the cage underneath, and a side build to hook it up to (with tubes and such) couldve really increased the play value. Finally, a pram for Grogu (and you cant even blame concept art on that… Grogu should simply come with a Pram). Those inclusions for $50 would be perfect.

Awesome review Jang! I think you're right that the set is really well designed but priced too high. It's unfortunate they weren't able to make the pilot of the vehicle, but I think Bo-Katan's hair and a lot of imagination could make a decent substitute.

Lego can print white onto dark colours. They do it in almost every single set - on minifigure eyes. They can do better and thus they should do better.

Hmmmmm, this set is actually better than I thought. I like the springy leg action. Still kinda pricey though. This thing is a perfect base for a "Ghost In The Shell" style tank MOC. Not the Fuchikomas or the Tachikomas, the larger combat units.

Sucks that it was made with limited knowledge, the real allure of this mech watching the show for me was the little cyborg, and the conflict came from Din being in a cage. But the upper interior can act as a trap for play by kids who've watched which is nice, and the red eyes give the mech itself a personality in place of the porthole from the show

I was really hoping they would include the figure of the alien, witch a small terrain element that allowed a "Lego" style play feature of moving the head "eye" thing around as they fight like in the show. Kind of a miss but the spider looks amazing. Loves the crab legs!

I think this set may be really popular. I was at the Lego store in the morning yesterday we were waiting in line before it opened, and before we even got in the store, it was already sold out and they had to bring another batch in that also sold out in 10 minutes

I will get this, I will just have to wait a long time for a sale because I am not going to get it at the $85 price that they are asking for. That auto-puppet leg action is really nice for a play feature as no kid can work all the legs in tandem. Are people really complaining about features, I don't consider that a problem.🤨 Mainly with the figure pad print color errors I just kind of wonder what causes it, is the paint the wrong color, is the paint too thin, does the pad need to drop twice instead of once per color to fix that?🤔

Its an expensive set for minifigs that are all available in other sets. The spider itself is better than I expected though. The false advertising with colour fidelity of minifig prints is a real problem and I appreciate you calling this out. Its disappointing from such a wealthy company and a supposedly premium product

Meh, as an older fan i can't justify buying it. The new and upgraded Bo Katan is awesome, but after 30 sets with Din+Grogu everybody who wanted to get them already has them. The build is fun for a kid, but i'm missing the creature piloting it, or the cage. Would have been more happy if lego comes out with the rumoured "mines of mandalore" or what was it's original(?) title. Unfortunately, this set is another example of failed communication between lego and lucasfilm :/

That Walking is perfectly organic and for someone who would regularly prefer to keep a pose, I must say I would rid that in every Walker ever if they could get half of the quality of movement this has.
