I'm not denying that the graphical fidelity of The Skywalker Saga is much improved, but I can't be the only one who thinks the Lego aesthetic itself may have suffered a bit for it? The Star Destroyer, the blank smiley faces on some of the human NPCs, the blasters. I have only gotten to Theed Palace but I don't remember building anything with Legos

I understand what you're saying, with the star destroyers they felt much more Lego like, probably due to the fact that the newer game uses thousands of not millions more pieces just to make one star destroyer, whilst the originals are on a much smaller scale. And trust me, the prequels are probably the most rushed trilogy in TSS, However building does become more useful in the later game.

yeah to me, the Skywalker saga was a bit lack lustre in terms of actual story mode quality. it felt like a game made by developers who’d only watched the movies twice at most. i’m also really disappointed that the hearts (that resemble your health) have been mostly removed and i can’t get past the fact that the jar jar binks chapter is so crap. i was expecting the same gameplay as the wii version (running through the forests, killing droids and making use of jar jars abilities) but nope we just dandered on down to the underwater kingdom with ease. it felt more like a mario game than an actual lego game

I really dig the look of the new ones but I sadly prefer the old Lego sets over the news. I wish they included all the old school Lego set models instead of only the new designs. I did also enjoy the original games more as the levels are more focused. After having played the Skywalker saga for about three hours I can say it has gotten overly muddled with additions such as side quests , open worlds it’s kind of sad that the old school level design is considered “””outdated””” as I prefer the simplicity and focus of the originals.

Also the game is obviously meant to be played with voice acting, the mumble mode voice acting is very lacking as most cutscenes don’t have visual storytelling like the original games and subtitles are permanently on with mumble mode because they know it is lacking.

Not by a mile. Switch uses same assets and the same lighting model of the other console, just downgraded here and there. As the lighting and some materials are the huge difference here, there is no sense in thinking that the Switch version would be similar to the X360 version.
