"LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga provides some rollicking reimaginings of Star Wars' most iconic moments and seats them inside a series of interplanetary playgrounds that are dense with discovery and entertaining diversions. Certain elements like its upgrade and cover systems feel somewhat superfluous, and co-op has some notable drawbacks, but there were otherwise enough laugh out loud gags and surprising shifts in gameplay to keep me thoroughly engaged from the opening crawl of Episode I all the way through to the end of Episode IX - which is more than I can say for the actual movies."

It’s a bit disappointing that this game handles the Obi-Wan vs Anakin fight worse than the original did in co op. Having it be a 1v1 between the two players like the original could have made for a fun moment with all the new mechanics.

PSA: In the settings, you can turn off automatic health recovery to make the game more challenging. The reviewer should have done this first before criticizing the difficulty. Also, when you unlock the collectible detector skill, you can disable it so its less annoying

Just because one person reviewed it without changing the difficulty setting doesn't make the game any less enjoyable. There's always been difficulty settings on video games usually so anybody who thought this was easy clearly noticed that it was on a lower difficulty setting. Even then the game is still easy as all lego games tend to be, but here is the thing: that honestly isn't a problem, the game being easy fits its relaxing tone ( like in Kirby games for example) people need to stop thinking a game being easy is necessarily a flaw, just like making a game very hard like in dark souls can be a creative chose, making this game easy was also a creative chose

I’m gonna be honest. 7/10 for the story mode. They had 3 years to make this and the story mode is missing some iconic battles. Like you couldn’t even attack the second Death Star it was just a cutscene of lando blowing it up. And you couldn’t fly anakin and obiwans Star fighters and shoot ships and blow up the shields on grievous’s ship.

While it is quite easy in the default form the reviewer played at, turning off regenerative healing, which was a cheat in previous games but now is part of the default features (as it should be imo - as a cheat it was always overshadowed by invincibility), you can have "no death runs" which means that you actually need to take care of not dying and collecting hearts dropped by dead enemies.

My big problem with this game is that the story missions have no puzzles to complete to complete objectives. The missions are just literally walking from one place to another to get to the objective, and maybe fighting some stuff along the way. All the puzzles are just for optional collectables

My only critique is the overloaded interface. It has so many things onscreen that it seems uncomfortable and takes me out of the experience. (Well, and maybe that the humour is a bit over the top)

The developers tweeted that you could be able to control what shows on the HUD at any time, but yea if you don’t like the humor the best option is mumble mode which won’t get rid of the more slapstick stuff

If you own an xbox series just change the region to new zealand and play today! Im only two levels in and played over an hour. The exploration is so great and brings back incredible memories of playing the complete saga on that bulky ps3 with my lil bro :,) cop if u played the old ones
