+Tizzeres the actual problem is, how exactlly would you do that ? this set would be huge and so freaking expensive xD -Obi Wan + his lizard thing + Cody + some Troopers -Anakin + some Troopers + 1 or 2 Jedi -Ki Adi + some Marine Troopers -Yoda + the Wookiees + the 2 Troopers -Aayla Secura + some Troopers -Plo Koon + his Starfighter + an ARC-170 -Adi Gallia + her speeder + 2 barc speeders and than you would also need some scenery for every part (except the Plo Koon part i guess) All the new minifigs they would need to make, all the different cloneTrooper paintings ...

with the stud guns, I don't put in the gray bits that make it fire. I like the way that the spring loaded shooter looks, but they fire if you set it down in a way or grab it in a certain way

Thanks for the review, and like yourself I found the finish on the inside of the base gate disappointing. However, only 25 stickers, ONLY? Sorry, the sticker count on this for a UCS is huge. Also the Ion Cannon has been supplied with the wrong coloured shooter darts, the shots from this were blue in The Empire Strikes Back. This is the only Star Wars UCS that I'm not even considering buying, every other one was worthy of consideration.

Im still confused as to why these big scale (ish) playsets are branded as UCS. They dont have the form or artistry of those builds. Its just a big playset. Seems like Lego decided to brand it a UCS set just to make the price point seem more reasonable. I think the UCS classification should stick to builds intended to recreate a vehicle, character, object, or location as accurately as possible

Like you said, you can get almost everything in this set from smaller previously released sets. If they release a UCS cloud city in the next 2 years I don't think I'll feel as badly about this set taking one of this years UCS slots. A UCS at-at would do nicely as well!

It has everything I need to start a little Moc. with having some old Holt set, it should be an expansion for the holt. So I will buy this set! And you can get so many rebel Holt trooper in 1 set! great!

This is pretty cool actually, because my friend got an idea that he would build this opening gate. (He came upwith it 2009). The one he buildt was much bigger and it took him 2 months to build it. I think that my friends was cooler because the doors was white and it blended in on the snow. The door opener was to camouflaged! But good job Lego with the idea and you who reads this so if no one have said this to you today! YOU ARE AWESOME AND NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS! Bye! :)

You just gotta get this set, and the 2014 AT AT, and perhaps if you want the 2014 Snowspeeder,many ur done for life with the hoth sets, and if you really want you can get the battle of hoth, and hoth attack but this is a great set if you don't have any hoth sets, I really want Lego to make a UCS cloud city

I mean c'mon. There was potential here. This should've been a wave of sets. 2014 gave us Rogue Leader's Snow Speeder and an AT-AT. What Lego should've done is have Wedge's Snow Speeder as a separate set, and give us an Imperial Battle pack, that way two slots are freed up for more Rebel Troopers in this "UCS" set. Hell, this way we have 4 slots to do whatever (No Wedge, Wes Janson and Snow Trooper x 2). We should've gotten one trench (That can be added to the Hoth Attack set), the rest of that can to the interior. Two Tauntauns, that way the pen makes sense.

The upset face expression shown on the left at 8:41 is not exclusive to this Hoth set. It is also used for the Minifigure that comes with the T-47 Airspeeder Microfighter set.

They tried to do too much at once. Cause the Hoth Rebel minifigures were perfect. They should've cut back on a few set pieces. They should've just done away with the Imperials and given us more Hoth Rebel Soldiers. They are to date, the most accurate.

In a Toys R Us here in Canada, at the counter, there was one Assembly Square and one Assault on Hoth. I nearly burst into laughter when Assembly Square, a set which has around 2x the pieces than Assault on Hoth was only $50 more. They really shouldn't have put those 2 sets side-by-side...

Creative Liberties are good to an extent. When you are making aa UCS, a build that is targeted towards collectors, you must be certain that the build is almost identical to the movie. Otherwise, you're just changing the movie's scene, which most collectors do not enjoy.

I went and pulled the bricklink parts list up for this thing, and the minifigures alone from this set are almost worth the purchasing price on their own. I don't feel this deserves a UCS title though.
