That is a fantastic design for Lego! Very impressed. The only reason real cars don't use something like that is because it would be incredibly heavy and likely require an absurd amount of grease every few thousand miles.

cool, but slow response. complexities means it will be outperformed by a correctly adjusted conventional steering mechanism+ackerman compensation even though it reduces scrub radius immensely over a conventional steering geometry

It would be incredibly heavy, so nothing fast would use it. I can imagine some forklifts being able to take advantage of this design, but I've never seen one use it.

Well, it could but only for Cars that has Rear-Engine Layout. This type of steering is very very spacious, that makes it very impossible to place the engine on front or the hood.

Yes you are right. But here you do not need any week parts like cardans, gears etc. I am still working on smaller wersion.

Simply order them from LEGO. They are in some motorcycles, mine is yellow but exactly the same part ;)
