Hi Rachel I commented earlier on your families build, I started mine last week but have you noticed that in section 2 mid-ship there are 2 sets of portholes that aren't showing white thru them? They're on each side of each section for a total of 8 they're in the 3rd row down 3rd one right side, & 4th one left side, well I think there was an oversight by Lego directions have you placing these 2 sets of portholes over a single blue hollow riser this makes them look dark or not lit up. They should be white & capped then they all would look lit up & uniformed. What I did to remedy this is luckily for me I had sum extra white railing left from the 2nd funnel area I took a pc of that and while the blue risers in place I stuck my left over railing in the hole of those 2 blue risers, and bottom it out then marked a line & cut it with a exacto knife, then inserted those cut off pcs into those holes & reassembled it, now all my portholes look the same. Hopefully you saved any leftover pcs so you to can do the same, and if you have nothing left you could simple get a any sticker that might have a white area and trace & cut out little circles to place over those blue hollow risers, it will definitely look a lot better then without. There is also 4 gray ones as well its not too bad but for those I used white acrylic paint. Just thought you might like to know. Hope this helps. 😜👍

1:44 someone actually put a motor in for both reciprocating engines and the rudder here on KZbin, it's tedious, but it's also awesome to see all of the propellers and rudder turn

If you want a good light kit for it, i highly recommend the BriksMax light kit, lot of wires and the warm white lighting makes the ship look incredibly amazing along with the frost blue lights on the keel of the ship Patience is a big virtue and a must if youre putting the lights on it, you don't want to accidentally snap or cut a wire

nice review. You should check the mast at the front. It has a pretty severe bend in the video, maybe a string that's too tight in the wrong spot or something else but the mast on mine stands straight up.
@Rachel_Pence2 жыл бұрын
it's actually suppose to have a bend in it! I was thinking the same thing but in the directions it shows the bend 🤷🏻♀️

Do the interior decks extend the whole length of the build, or only where you can see them?

Nice job on the Titanic, that model looks beautiful! Now I wish I could put on Ant Man's suit so I could shrink down small enough to walk around on it! The only problem is that if I had this Lego Set I would have to get rid of stuff in my apartment or use a shrink ray on it because I have nowhere to put it.

The ship is actually 1:200th scale. In perspective, it would be the same scale (or close), to the Lego Architecture's Statue of Liberty model.

I believe there were no benches/chairs on boat deck and only located on the promandnade deck (A deck) also i didn't see any F deck port holes there where also no G deck port holes which sould have been at the stern where the G deck third class cabins would have been and at the bow where the mail room/seaport 7 would have been also i believe that was titanics first class lounge not gaming room correct me if im wrong sorry got a little carried away 😅 have a nice day! Hopefully u had a great Thanksgiving love yall and sam nice titanic set

Awesome job! 😜👍 I just bought 2 of them yesterday & entered a raffle to win another, got my 🤞crossed...lol I don't plan to start my build until I get my light kit from game of bricks, so I can bring this ship alive, especially at night. I suggest that you & your family check them out. Again looks great. 😇✌

Very nice. built mine in 7 days with just me building. I noticed you have a lot of bend on the front mast. Might want to look into getting that straighter. Or it may warp over time.
@Driver03782 жыл бұрын
Great build and good video. Just one little FYI. When you were talking about the engines, you said it spins the rudders. It spins the propellers, the rudder is the big section behind them that steers the ship. ;) Plus I noticed quite the bend in the front mast. I'm dying to get this set, although when it comes to my Lego building, I'm selfish. Me and only me to build. Lol!

this may be annoying but i had to remove the entire bow off to get the where the mast was formed because it as bending and it seems the same thing is happening to yours

You made the same mistake that I did with the mast near the bow. When mounted correctly, it shouldn’t stay 100% straight, but at a slight angle. That’s why it looks badly curved while tied with all the cables. You can fix it though. I can give some advise if you need any.

9,090 pieces? That is a labor of love. It is sad that there are only two relics left from the ocean liner era. One is closed because of multiple reasons. The other needs 100 million plus dollars to restore plus a place to berth permanently. 50 years ago, when I first walked the promenade deck of the Queen Mary, smelling the ocean brine, for a moment I was back in the 1950's and all the nostalgia that comes with that. Quite an experience.
