thanks for the compliment - I'm glad you like it - its great being able to plan these things in software before having t9o buy all the bricks, so it goes together nice and smoothly! All the wall tiles on the station is quite satisfying to watch too! ;)

I’ve never seen a good Lego London underground train video so far but this one is so good

Many thanks - that's really kind of you to say so. I'm glad you enjoyed the video... I hope you enjoy the rest off the series, making the underground station to go with it.

Brilliant, I can maybe use this idea on Lego digital designer and create a NYC subway train
@MinifigJez2 жыл бұрын
Yes, change the colours and you'd have a good NYC subway train. I've also seen people use the train out of the Spider-man set: 4855: Spiderman's Train Rescue as a subway train. You can see it here: brickset.com/sets/4855-1/Spider-Man-s-Train-Rescue

It looks very nice. I was wondering if I could get a list of the part list used for just one car.
@MinifigJez10 ай бұрын
I don't have a list I'm afraid. I only have the 3d Stud.io file, which I bought the parts direct from Bricklink with. I am starting to make instructions for my MOCs though, and put them on Rebrickable, so I will add this one to teh list, and if I get some spare time I will try to add it to the site.

Wow that’s been incredible to watch you develop this! Just wondering if you’d ever thought of making the classic red 1938 stock that ran on the Northern and Bakerloo lines?? It’d be perfect for an 8-wide stud train. I seriously need to learn how to use the software!
@MinifigJez Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind comment, I;m glad you liked the video. If you liked the first two, there are more parts to the series, finishing the train, motorising it and then building an Underground station!!! The playlist link is here: kzbin.info/aero/PL0A-CMNXDNYO781TnHGg1c79zgBVDGbI1 I hadn't thought of making any more tube stock, as I have so many other projects that I'd like to get made, but I'm a big fan of Lego City scale trains, so if I build more, I would probably stick to the 6-wide format. The only other Train MOC that I've made was a Wessex Electric Class 442, which was also 6-wide. Future plans are for a Class 47 and an Intercity 125 (HST)

Totally understand! Yes I absolutely loved your tube station too! I remember the intercity 125 well. Your playlists are well and truly bookmarked!

I'd also suggest making the station a bit longer, as the connection between the two cars means they'll be a bit longer than 64 studs
@MinifigJez3 жыл бұрын
A VERY good point I hadn't thought of that yet (Although I would have noticed when I started building it!!!) I'll adjust my Studio model, and update my parts list to make it a little longer.

Was wondering when the building video would be coming out, looks amazing, I especially love how the doors are mounted ^-^ Edit: Maybe a way to improve the model would be to make the a grey frame around the windows, if possible, would make it a bit more realistic
@MinifigJez3 жыл бұрын
Good point. I think the only way I could add them is with some light grey lining tape or vinyl. I can't think of any parts that would let me achieve it at this size... I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the idea.
@icheckered3 жыл бұрын
@@MinifigJez yeah I was thinking of lining tape, cause brick building it at this scale would be to difficult to pull off and make it look good
@SteamLance3 жыл бұрын
@@icheckered Trimline tape is the best way really, I'd suggest it for doing wasp stripes on diesels as well, at least for the back without having to resort to a complicated SNOT technique

I don't get why Lego use the 24 long base, why make them shorter when it looks ridiculous? To be honest, it would be nicer to see 32 long baseplates as my BR Mk1 design is 32 long
@MinifigJez3 жыл бұрын
Yep, agreed, I decided that adapting the 28s bases was my best option.

Is the train actullay Minifigure scale, because I have a Lego London model I am working on. And having a London Underground Deep Level metro would really be nice.
@MinifigJez2 жыл бұрын
For the type of London Underground train, its slightly smaller than MF scale (not much) but there are a lot of different sized trains on the underground, the older ones are very small, and have the curved doors that go into the roof, and I'd have to duck slightly to get on board, whereas the trains in the newer larger tunnels are the size of full sized main line trains. The wheels are the part which are NOT to scale, they are too big, but as they will never be seen on my layout I wasn't worried that they are huge! - Google images of London Underground trains and you'll see the HUGE variety in shapes, sizes and styles.
