Beyond the Brick it like the game world of tanks!
@boerne_ben7 жыл бұрын
I have my own version of this game. It is basically Flames of War, but with Lego Tiger 1s, Panthers, Sherman's, and other WW2 vehicles. Except I made infantry with using 1x1 circular plate studs stacked 3 high with the bottom 2 matching the real world uniforms of either German or American troops and the top stud being silver or green for the helmets. It so far has cost me over $400 to make all the figures and tanks, and to buy model houses, forests, trees, bushes and more.

@dantheultimate24977 жыл бұрын
It allows you to move freely like in warhammer 40k and AoS
@robrox15387 жыл бұрын
For a realistic war game inches and freedom of movement are better. For speed and ease of play grids (preferably hex) are better. You don't have to reach for the tape measurer every turn, that's why tabletop RPGs almost never use inch/cm based movement. A Warhammer match never exceeds a certain amount of turns, meanwhile historic wargames and dungeons and dragons games can last dozens if not hundreds of rounds. Then you really start to feel the need for a hex.
@OmnificentAspirations6 жыл бұрын
I made a Lego game and though on another game I made I use squares and hexagons, games like this it's better to use something more flexible not only for the players to move around but also if it's something that involves buildings, walls, doors, and furniture, and other obstructions. Those obstructions shouldn't also have to be confined to lineup to a grid. Especially if building or smaller obstructions for on foot games end up being odd sizes in comparison to the grid. You'll have to waste Extra Space on those squares not fully taken up by the object, or think of it as using up too much space by it overflowing on the next Square. More succinctly, it keeps the game modular. And considering they're using Legos, modularity is a strength of the game. It allows it to be improved easily as you get more resources to put into the game.

This reminds so much of flames of war. I like this game so much better because flames of war kits could run a few hundred dollars at a time or more. Even individual units were ridiculously expensive. This is so much cooler to me and its way less expensive and more practical for people who want to enjoy a game like this. Well done. Very nice.

This is so awesome! For very long I am trying to make such a game (initially with drawing something on a big paper map), but either it became super unbalanced, it was not dependend on strategie but only by luck and choosing the best units, or the whole thing went way to complex (i even had the idea of make use of a calculator with grafic options to solve some issues... ^^). Well, I am not sure if I will ever make this game, but for now I will read threw these two pages that were shown in the video :)

The pieces for the game are so expensive your looking at what they have set up. If you bought it all, like 500$+ wtf? they are like maybe 1$ per tank. Don't rip us off...
@brickmaniatoys7 жыл бұрын
Between the parts needed to build them, the instructions created in-house, and the actual designing and assembling of the kits, if you can make these for $1 per tank using genuine LEGO elements, you are a master.
@fastmadcow7 жыл бұрын
I guess, I don't understand much about stuff like that. But still 18 per tank is a little much?
@fastmadcow7 жыл бұрын
And if you want to have large tank battles and stuff it can get quite pricey. I'm just saying this is not for someone who is looking for some quick fun. Kind of excludes people like me who would really enjoy this game but wouldn't be able to purchase enough of them to even play a large scale battle
@brickmaniatoys7 жыл бұрын
That's why we offer the book with game instructions and instructions on how to build 44 different tanks: www.brickmania.com/micro-brick-battle-wwii-armored-combat-system-book/ The micro-tank kits that we offer for purchase are for those looking to not source the parts for themselves. It is a full kit, with instructions and parts. Whereas, the instruction book allows you to build it with parts you already own. Short from that, there isn't a better way to play this game. We are offering two different methods for playability here, with costs low enough for most to be able to start.

Where I live there are not a lot of people into this kinda thing...hell the closest place I can go for this kinda thing is an official Warhammer store that's like...50 minutes away with decent traffic and it only offers games put out by that company..which isn't BAD, heck I enjoy WH40K but if I wanna play another tabletop wargame with a theme like WW1-2 or just any other tabletop wargame I'm kinda outta luck cause we got no place to meet up..if you can even find anyone interested in the hobby around here in the first place.
