LEGRABOX side stabilisation: assembly | Blum

Hi. I am big fan of Blum Legrabox and i plan to make myself some parts of my kitchen. Could you please explain what is the purpouse of the side stabilisation system for legrabox and when it is needed. Also, is it compatible with TIP ON? Thanks a lot.
