Good info, my 02 just stopped blowing cold this past week.The compressor was changed out about 2 years ago and its worked great up until last week. Now compressor is not engaging. Gonna check the pressure at the fill up and see if any pressure is readable. Kinda hoping it doesn't have enough pressure to kick on the compressor which means I got a leak somewhere.

Ok so i fixed it! I checked the Ohms on the clutch coil and it checked good, but when i plugged it in and turned on the AC i blew the 10 amp fuse. Turned out the bearings were shot and overheated the clutch, melted the insulation on the coil and exposed the wires. The coil wires would short once the clutch engaged.

great video , how would one diagnose the cause of the ac running in the recycle only mode, no ac switch on ? AC switch does work . But AC runs , with ac light off and recycle switch on . 2004 v 8 chevy tahoe. temp switch , pressure switch , bad relay , fuse, or is the 2 dial control unit ? thanks for any suggestions on how to proceed. I have not found any other youtube answers to this question. Only ones for when the AC " does" not work.

2000 Chevy Suburban 1500 LT, AC was blowing cold, My blower motor ramped all the way up to high and the air started blowing warm out of the defrost vents. I smelled an electrical smell in the truck cab. Now the blower motor is always on high when the truck is on, The blower motor will stop blowing when I turn the truck off. The AC control panel will not do anything. All AC fuses are good, 2 inside the cab by the driver door and 3 in the electrical center under the hood, i had another fuse there that said front HVAC. I pulled the blower motor resistor and I don't see anything burned or any bulging caps on it. My truck does not have the fan control that says OFF, 1,2,3,4,5. Mine has hash marks and about 20 positions on the fan speed dial like the one in your video. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

2000 z71 5.3. A/c blowing cold one day and then next day warm air. Tried to put Freon but pressure was high. Checked all fuses and relay that you said to check and everything good. Ac would cycle when I hooked fridgerant up but like I said it would pressure the gauge up but once it cycled the pressure would come down then start pressuring up again. Once I pulled refrigerant off the a/c compressor stopped cycling. What am I missing? TIA

@@javierhinojosa5041 hey, after I was at my wits end. I checked for common place where wire rubs raw - on the compressor side between the oil pan and trans cooling lines but I found nothing. But some how I got it to kick back on. By going to your fuse box in engine bay find the fuse that says hvac should be to the right of the 10a compressor fuse - check it if burnt replace it if it’s good simply take out for like 5 minutes then plug back in and plug in new 10a for compressor and make sure the connecter to the compressor is connected properly this worked for me. Good luck gave me a headache all this after I installed brand new compressor and ac lines ect.

Mines will blow nice cold ac & on bumps it will stop working & the fuse blows i replaced every common ac part
@astrodreaming89992 жыл бұрын
@@javierhinojosa5041 common causes would be bad clutch coil blowing out your fuse or a short circuit - a raw wire touching bare metal. Try taking out the hvac fuse for like 5 minutes and try again somehow I think it resets the ac.
