@@ImperialTrooperProductions Not really. Legends has phenomenal, downright legendary stories like the Thrawn Trilogy, Plagueis and the like but there were also a lot of really stupid stories. At least in canon, even the poorly-written ones like Aftermath had great stories but were just written poorly. I was really skeptical of Disney creating a new canon, I hated them for it at first but they've proven that it was a brilliant move. Not only have all of the new stories been consistent with each other and usually of very high quality but it allows them to tell new stories with familiar characters, places, themes and even old stories with a new light. It's absolutely brilliant and I wouldn't trade it for a thing... though I don't think I'd ever be opposed to them continuing Legends alongside canon as two separate timelines, so as to please both crowds.

@@minicle426 I do agree but it is still really good. Dark Force Rising was particularly rough. However, Heir to the Empire is a blast and The Last Command has a really epic overall feel. Still, nowhere near the absolute pinnacle of Star Wars storytelling that people make it out to be.

I'm pretty sure that we will but after the the end of the sequel trilogy. Thre will be an influx of stories about Kylo Ren,Rey,Snoke, Luke after RotJ, Knights of Ren etc

i just heard a spoiler/rumor that indeed Leah will be seemingly killed off this episode, so as to just make sure we don't even have to "worry" about seeing her as a CGI or whatever, in episode 9...and i HOPE it's BS (it's from a questionable source), and i know im in the minority here, but i want her to still be in 9 as a cgi character...even if it's for only 5 minutes of screen time spread out over ten 30 second appearances...

MAsterr Serch Persoanlly, I just think they should recast the role. Yes Carrie defined the role. But I don't think Leia as a character should be killed off simply because of a real world tragedy. Furthermore, it's not like they have brought Leia back for simple fan service, she is the mother of the main villian of the triology. She is highly important. Personally, I feel if there is any chance of redeeming Kylo it is through Leia. Han and Luke couldn't save him. Plus, it would juxtapose the Father-son theme of the original trilogy with a mother-son theme.

Heir to the Jedi was rough. Also, unpopular opinion, but I didn't like Battlefront: Twilight Company. Which is weird, because I really liked the Rogue One novelization by the same author. Those are the only two canon ones I can remember that I had to force myself to finish. Legends...there are a lot I didn't like.

Wait, didn't Breha die when Leia was really young? Since the release of "Revenge of the Sith," it's been assumed Leia was referring to Breha in "Return of the Jedi" when describing her mother, since it no longer made sense for her to be referring to her birth mother Padmé.

In that ROTJ scene, Luke literally says "your real mother" or "your birth mother" or something like that so I don't think she was ever taking about breha

No, he doesn't. He simply asks her about her mother. Once "Revenge of the Sith" rolled around and we found out that Leia couldn't possibly remember her birth mother, everyone assumed it was a retcon to her adopted mother, an assumption that only gained greater weight when later materials implied that Leia didn't even know she was adopted until that point in RotJ.

I have a timeline question. Tarkin happens about 10 or 15 years after revenge of the sith and leia happens 16 years after revenge of the sith, but the Carrion Spike destroyed in Tarkin, makes an appearance in this book. How is this possible?(I might have the dates wrong for the Tarkin Book).

First of all, YES. INCEST IS WINCEST. But, assuming you meant Anakin and Padmé, I disagree. I know the love story is awful, but after the Legends Universe was pulled out of canon, if we start rewriting shit as well, this is gonna turn into de DC Universe in no time. Full of contradictions, conflicting timelines and multiple realities, with characters dying and being resurrected. There's nothing wrong with adding more to canon (Like The Clone Wars), but what's already been established should not be changed, no matter how small the changes may seem.

Bloodline was really boring for the most part in my opinion, I don't know if it was because the audiobook voices were terrible but it took me forever to get around to completing it. The only interesting bit was the Vader reveal to the New Republic.
