Wrestling for beginners. We often think about combat in the Middle Ages carried out with heavy weapons like swords, axes or lances. But what happened when the weapons broke or when people were not allowed to carry them for whatever reasons?
But our European forefathers also knew how to defend themselves without weapons practicing the noble arts of grappling and fist fighting.
These arts represent the roots of modern martial arts such as grappling etc. This educational film shows the important basics of wrestling or grappling and also provides elements of interest to martial arts enthusiasts.

Learning to fall without mats.
Basic positions and methods of movement in a standing position or on the ground.
Grips and opening moves.
Throws.
Attacks and defensive moves (ie. biting)
Punching and kick techniques.
Practice drills in a standing position or on the ground.
