Wrestling for beginners. We often think about combat in the Middle Ages carried out with heavy weapons like swords, axes or lances. But what happened when the weapons broke or when people were not allowed to carry them for whatever reasons?
But our European forefathers also knew how to defend themselves without weapons practicing the noble arts of grappling and fist fighting.
These arts represent the roots of modern martial arts such as grappling etc. This educational film shows the important basics of wrestling or grappling and also provides elements of interest to martial arts enthusiasts.
Contents:
Learning to fall without mats.
Basic positions and methods of movement in a standing position or on the ground.
Grips and opening moves.
Throws.
Attacks and defensive moves (ie. biting)
Punching and kick techniques.
Practice drills in a standing position or on the ground.

Большинство исследователей-ученых, сходятся на том, что в средневековом мире практически отсутствовала какая-либо внятная ударная система (кроме культуры "пугулизма" в южной Италии и системы "кулачных боев" в Московии/Московском княжестве): бокс в Англии начинает формироваться лишь примерно после 1600 года (то есть, примерно с возникновением ОГНЕСТРЕЛЬНОГО оружия!), тоже самое и с каратэ в Японии. В условиях средневекового мира, борьба служила в качестве прикладного военного искусства у военных страт (рыцарства в Европе, самураев в Японии, и т.д.). (обучение военному делу в условиях средневековья считалось сугубо привилегией узких, элитных воинских страт, в норме, аристократического происхождения, "быдло"-крестьянушки должны были заниматься сугубо сельскохозяйственными работами. (В Японии вплоть до "Реставрации Мейдзи" овладение самурайскими искусствами - работа с мечом и обучение джиу-джитсу - было СТРОГО запрещено для крестьянского населения!). ))))) Во-первых, большинство аврамических религий осуждали ударную технику, как "греховную" (в исламе такой запрет существует до сих пор). Во-вторых, в условиях средневековья - использовать удары против человека одетого в железные доспехи (латы, шлемы и т.д.) - неэффективно. Имело смысл затянуть противника на землю и, используя холодное оружие, уничтожить его в крайне уязвимом положении - в положении лежа на земле! ))))
