the tethering worked even before the update. I was able to tether the M11 with capture One back in march

Yeah but I think it was a bit more complex to get it to connect?

Updated thru the Leica fotos app the day of the release. I was getting 3-4 days of street shooting but after only got ~1 day. I did a reset and reloaded my profile and it seem to have fixed it but I do seem to get an episode of freeze now and then where I never had it before. Not a huge deal as I can quickly eject battery but none the less annoying. Fav feature for me is turning touch screen off for LV

That sucks man. Luckily no freezing yet over here. They were supposed to fix all that. Hopefully they patch it soon.

I’m a little reluctant to update my M11 firmware. The recent Q3 firmware update was advertised to fix freezing issues. But my Q3 froze more often AFTER I updated it!

I regret that I did the update for my m11 monochrom because my camera froze many times 😢

Where do you get the freezes? I’m using Sony though cards. No issues. I only got the buffering black screen once and that happened even with the old firmware.

A lot of M11 shooters are experiencing the M11 to freeze and lock up. That is what I read on the M11 users group on facebook. You had this issue?

Are people having issues with this firmware? My M11 seems to have a new issue after updating, it now gets stuck buffering shots to the SD card and the only fix is a battery removal

Yes battery removal should fix that but make sure it’s not the card. I had issues with Lexar cards but now I use Sony tough cards and have not had issues. I think I had that buffering issue happening once where the screen goes black and you see the red LED. If you want more info hit me up on IG @gastonshutters

Leica... at the mothership in Wetzlar, in person, to my face, two or three times told me and my family: "Do not use Lexar cards - use Sandisk. That’s what we use in the back, and we have seen and had many problems with Lexar." He even made an X (hex) with his fingers, in essence saying, Stay away! I brought in my M11 and my daughter's D Lux 7 because we were having problems in July 2023.

First of all, the camera should recognize that the SD card has new firmware and simply prompt you to upgrade the firmware. Number two… Before you upgrade the firmware, it should ask if you want your custom set ups saved to the card, and then re-uploaded to the camera after the firmware update. This is all software, and it should be automatic.

It does all that. If the firmaré is in the root directory when you go to firmware and update it shows up. It tells you to save your custom profiles.
