Coming out of the gate with the shot of “man sitting on bench with perfect city scape in background” is a complete flex. This whole set is so good!!

Love both of your videos on the 35 and 28mm. Can I ask where you got the Leica light? I’ve been trying to find one just like that with no luck.

Thank you! I unfortunately inherited the light.. not sure where to buy it haha.

Thank you so much for this video! I use an M6, and am considering this lens. It does look top heavy, How does it feel on the M6? Thank you once again ❤
@chrismeetschris3 ай бұрын
When you’re shooting the lens feels great to operate on the M6. It’s definitely on the bigger size, but weight-wise it doesn’t really bother me, especially for a 1.4!

Do you have issues framing 28mm on the M6? I tested out the M11 in store and realized I can barely see the 35mm frame lines, let alone a 28. I'm wearing glasses.
@chrismeetschris15 күн бұрын
no I don't -- but it's because my M6 is .58x magnification -- way better for 28mm especially with glasses. the viewfinder magnification on the M10 and up is much larger, something like .73x this makes it hard to see anything beyond 35 with glasses on. My dream is that one day they'll make a .58x viewfinder for the digital ms. not sure why they don't.

Compared to summicron is it comparable? And do you find the lens long n heavy for travelling
@chrismeetschris5 сағат бұрын
They’re definitely bigger lenses. I love the summicrons for their size, compactness is almost more important to me than image quality these days… if I could afford it, I would get the Leica 28 summicron instead. But considering these simeras are 1.4 and ASPH - it’s really hard to beat for the price. Maybe they’ll make an f2 suite? Haha.

Did you have to calibrate this lens at all?
@chrismeetschris3 ай бұрын
nope! calibrated perfectly out of the box haha.

I would have never bought this lens. Simply because I have become sinophobic over the years. I am consuming far too much from China. I could be against it or for it. Maybe it is because TTartisan and 7artisan have produces knock-offs that share the same engravings, colour fonts and what not that are very close to the original lens. Nahhh... I am avoiding made in China.

@@chrismeetschris As we all type and read this from our Chinese made devices. 🤦♂

@@alexsorokin1896 This is why I am saying it. There are very few alternatives. I speak openly about it that I have enough Chinese goods in my household. I would rather happily support local companies or somewhere else.
