its good to see you diversify, the London wildlife can be tough! i don't think i would have the courage to just ask a stranger to pose for me. i like how you do your videos especially the actual wildlife ones, keep at it i think you will get a huge following in the end.

I hate photographing people with a vengeance, I do try to push myself but being on a mobility scooter does not help my cause as a street photographer. Great video, good to see this other side of you and I think we all need that other option with photography. Mine is still life in a studio, still no people but I get to play with artificial light.

great video with some great shots! i miss London :( and the leica m8 actually looks interesting
@TomMasonPhoto6 жыл бұрын
Love the M8, even though its 10MP, ISO really only pushable to 640, its a great camera, love mine and use it practically every day!
@acidsnow59156 жыл бұрын
i don't mind the 10MP, the only thing that hinders me buying one is the crop sensor :)
@TomMasonPhoto6 жыл бұрын
Its only a 1.3 crop that personally I was a little put off of to start with, however after a year shooting, using a 28mm to give 35mm its just wonderful and I don't feel its a negative any more, the colour and "look" of the files is just gorgeous!

Cheers Stephen, I always enjoy shooting something different, helps me to think creatively for my own work!

Tom you need a stabiliser on your camera, a little shaky but I like the content.
@TomMasonPhoto6 жыл бұрын
New camera has been acquired for Vlog content - small light and with great optical stabilisation hopefully it will be an improvement!

Please get a gimbal for those vlog shots XD Also, I work like 200m away from liv st, cant believe you were so close to my workplace XD
@TomMasonPhoto7 жыл бұрын
Haha yes I must stop and Vlog for smoothness + I think I had the Image Stabiliser settings not quite right because it looks much better in the Minsmere video! I'm often in Liverpool street area - I'm often about in London so many I'll have some photo meet-up's at some point! IDK if thats something people would be up for!

I have just added the Hadley Pro Small to my kit, for day to day life and shooting. Will be using it a lot with my Nikon film cameras. its a gorgeous bag!

Hey dave, its just down and off brick lane where the Exit Bar is! Cheers, Tom

Where's that bridge? (cool video btw)
@TomMasonPhoto7 жыл бұрын
If you go to google maps and look for "Exit Bar - Brick Lane" its just to the east where you see the two train lines overlap. Just head down the little walkway and you'll be in the park with the bridge and graffiti, thanks for watching!
@jankobosch56677 жыл бұрын
Found it! I know that area but I've never seen that bridge. I will definately visit it next time I'm in the neighbourhood. Thanks!

Was that a Leica commercial?
@TomMasonPhoto7 жыл бұрын
NoluckBear haha well if they’d like to sell cameras you can’t buy new any more maybe ;) but no I just very much enjoy shooting mine - although I’d still pick Nikon if I could only have one brand everyday!
@NoluckBear7 жыл бұрын
Fair enough! Was not meant to be offensive in any way! Keep doing the videos and as others have said at least get a lens with VR! :P Really enjoy your content and I think if you keep it coming you'll be one of the big channels soon! :)
@TomMasonPhoto7 жыл бұрын
NoluckBear thanks man! I didn’t think it was offensive - it’s sometimes hard to read the tone of text! Yes certainly will sort some VR / pod for vlogging! I still think I’m settings are wrong on the IS. Thanks for your support and there is much on the way! Cheers, Tom
@davehyper78357 жыл бұрын
Leica don't need commercials. you either love them or you don't.... you either buy one or you don't ;-)

That song sounds almost exactly like London Calling by The Clash, ironically, at least without the words. Was this intentional? It works really well, though

+Mark Kennedy I spent a good couple of hours looking for matching music so I’m glad you appreciated it! Yes the Clash was the inspiration behind the choice!

hey guys, i watched your video a few weeks ago and took what i learned from you to heart. I live in Minneapolis and the big USA tradition of the Super Bowl was in my back yard, ok, front yard if talking about my place of work, literally on the street i work on was ground zero for this event. I have wanted to do some more street photography for a while but was unsure how to approach people but your video help and when the festivities started i went a head and just asked people if i could take their photos and it worked so well. I have posted some of the successes on my site and would love for you to see what you help me do. Since you were my inspiration I thought i would drop a link so you know what you are doing is helping others out! link is: pexa-artstudios.com/studios_words/?p=469

2022 and this is still bad. You guys ended up faking street photos. The whole point would be to get those shots you asked for and poses, naturally. Then talk to them if you’d like. You might as well have hired a model to go out there and pretend to be a stranger. End of the day, it’s a photo shoot. Not street.

I hate it too when photographers want to shoot in a good location. Still, it gives us someone to slag off whilst we're sitting here doing fuck all!
@stuntmanonvespa5 жыл бұрын
I can't watch anymore of this, walking round London with Leica's and massive equipment bags over the shoulder, you stick out like a pair of pricks at a fanny ball. I personally think staging street photography is fake, get real lads! Sorry but its a thumbs down for me.
@TomMasonPhoto5 жыл бұрын
Everyone’s entitled to an opinion however I don’t know how it’s “staged” we hadn’t pre planned or brought models in for a shoot just myself and jimmy decided to get out and enjoy some photography!
