Hi, thanks. There is no battery grip option for the Leica SL. The grip is the body design. I love small cameras but I've not noticed it during use.

Thank you for this review. Am I correct in assuming focus peaking does not work when using 'vintage' lenses or mechanical lenses (no info sent to camera)where you have to dial in aperture and use the focus ring on the lens?

Thanks! Yes it works but is contrast based so some low contrast vintage lenses don't always work as well for FP.

Hello, only with a tripod from my limited video knowledge. I got the Lumix S5 for video as it has IBIS (like the SL2 / SL2-S) SL footage can be nice but it's hard to do handheld stuff smooth

Second comment. For manual lenses with no CPU contacts and no f-stop getting back to the camera I turn off LV and just turn on the histogram and use the EVF histogram and then the rear wheel to adjust shutter speed to get a correct exposure. Does this sound too clunky?

Hi Axel, you need to scroll the wheel to increase the magnification when you click the joystick to zoom in. 10x is the max

Hi David, no never. Auto ISO means the camera controls the exposure. I want to have full control. (I shoot full manual)

I am trying a SL, the menu for MF is greyed out, I cannot find the magnification menu , the only option I see is focus peaking. using FW 4.1

It depends what lens is mounted. If an AF lens some menus are greyed out

Hi Angel, i'm not sure but I doubt it. Leica are less up to speed on these mod cons. I use manual focus.

I thought that the close focus adapter also reaches infinity... I have one from a different chinese brand and I could reach infinity with every lens I have.

I see some forums advise that for non Leica lenses ie Voightlander to choose the closest from the Leica list but you set Lens Profiles to off. One advantage of your approach is not having to go into the menu with each lens change. Any advice how to best approach this?
