Steinway Artist Leif Ove Andsnes drops by New York City’s Steinway Hall to perform two short works by the great Finnish composer Jean Sibelius: Bagatelle Op. 97, No. 5 “Impromptu”; and Op. 58, No. 4 “The Shepherd.” Sibelius is principally known as a symphonic composer, but also wrote over 150 works for piano, among which Andsnes feels there are “many neglected jewels.” Here the Norwegian pianist brings a sensitivity and joy to the Finn’s morsels that supports his assertion. www.steinway.com/ facebook.com/steinway/ instagram.com/steinwayandsons twitter.com/SteinwayAndSons

I have the utmost respect for this artist, and his playing...I do wish that he'd dress a LITTLE better for filmed performances...would it kill him?
