I like your content. There's a similar sound like this when you see the mysterious stranger in Fallout Shelter.

You may be thinking of a minor Major 7 chord. The “Hitchcock chord”.

So EminMaj7add9, gotcha. So basically a Bmin over an Emin with no 5th, yeah? Cool chord, but how would you move in and out of it in a progression? The D in the Bmin could make the Emin function as a shell chord with a funky tritone, maybe?

It sounds quite good as a funky chord I think. It's definitely not an "everyday" chord, but it's a fun one to throw in. I like using it alongside Em7 and F#7b5. So I'd play a funky rhythm that goes Em7 > Em/maj9 > F#m7b5 > Em7

@ ok I’m picking up what you’re puttin down, but how are you voicing that F#? Edit: just tried it with an F# half dim and it was a spicy 10/10

Yeah sorry I meant to write F#min7b5… forgot the minor 😂

It also has a slight Spanish/Latin feel to it to my ears

Love that word! I've never heard anyone use that to describe a sound before.
