*Season 2 Possible Spoiler:* In episode 8, Leighton asked Alicia what was up with her neighbor, and mentioned she was staring at her. That's because Alicia's redhead "neighbor" actually lives in Leighton's dorm. She was sitting to Kim and Bela's left at the Parents Weekend dorm meeting. That's why she was staring at Leighton so hard. She had no clue Leighton was gay. I'm not sure what role she'll play next season (possibly outing Leighton?), but she'll definitely be in it. Imagine Alicia's reaction to seeing Leighton with her..... Anyway, should be interesting to say the least.

I hope there was more to the story than this, because I can't see how any of this was realistic or even natural? Plus anyone else think that it's weird she's just gay, I mean it's 2022 we have fluid people and B people and pan people. If the writers were going for shock than they failed miserably.

It was pretty realistic. She's grown up in an incredibly conservative VERY upper class household and is used to getting her way, being very popular because of here superficial social skills and her money...Being gay in that part of the society still isn't considered the norm, esp. for women. She obviously has huge problems showing who she really is because she conditioned herself to fulfill the picture of "perfect daughter"...that began to crumble when she went to College because she doesn't fit into her "normal"crowd anymore. Her old friends abandoned her and the other rich kids thought she was trying too hard. She is lonely and still trying to uphold whatever warped morals she has grown up with ...at the same time she knows that that's not who she really is. I have no idea what it is like being from a family that rich but I do know what it's like to try and be "perfect" all the time. The acting was pretty spot on. Also: There are still a lot of homophobic people on this earth.
