Hate to break it to y'all, but this was before Season 5 was really under way. Once it was, especially by the 100th season, she said in an interview she wants Dair to happen, because she thinks Blair can be herself around Dan in a way she can't with anyone else, including Chuck. So there you go :)

@cyberpragya She was promoting Dair in season 5 because they knew they were going to happen. But she also often said Chuck's her soulmate and knows her better than anyone and after the show ended she said she's happy they ended up together and that it's the right ending. It's obvious Leighton liked Chuck and Blair better and that she loved working with Ed considering everything she said over the years and if she had to choose between Chuck and Blair or Dair, she'd choose Chuck and Blair every time. Also another thing Blair was un-Blair (canon) when she got with Dan. But when she started to find the real Blair Waldorf again after hanging out with the NJBC she dumped Dan. Blair and Dan only happened after Blair had a miscarriage and her marriage to Louis failed, she clearly just temporarily lost her mind.
