Because there’s current drama surrounding Blake. I just think it’s sad, Blake probably doesn’t even remember this. While this lady has remained bitter all this time. It should take more than a few words that aren’t meant with ill intentions to make someone want to quit. As someone who has miscarried, I don’t have bitterness towards other women who don’t have or haven’t had that same struggle. Her clothing is baggy and again Blake didn’t know her past struggles, and maybe she could have left the congratulations out of it and just kept it about the movie. It was simply a comment, not earth shattering. Maybe she’s in the wrong line of work, I hope she is able to be a mother however that be. I also hope that she can find forgiveness and move past something that isn’t her fault.

I think the journalist did something behind the scenes even before she started the rudeness with her "bump" commentary. The women just read her and thought they could do this and they weren't wrong either obviously cause she was left speechless. I mean, who asks someone about their bump instead of their baby? It might be a translation problem (German) but that plus coupled with knowing the English-speaking women have the upper hand led to this seemingly rude ignoring. And honestly, if someone that I already find dubious starts an interview with me asking me about my bumps, in the presence of a friend, I'd start ignoring her too...until she gets a clue that we don't speak like that in English. I disagree, the interviewer was too laid back. When you see other celebrity interviews you notice that the second the celeb gets self-indulgent, the interviewer interrupts them or interjects with a question. It can actually be irritating to watch as it feels as though the celeb doesn't get to finish their stream of thought. Here Riley goes into some long, precious stream-of-consciousness monologue about characters appearing authentic in the film and the interviewer sits back and just lets her rabbit on. The interviewer felt intimidated by the both of them and didn't take charge. Even the monologue at the end where she essentially says nothing groundbreaking at all the interviewer just lets her ride. In fact without the controversy it would have been a really boring interview. That's 100% on the interviewer.

@@eatme123-g8y It's definitely possible, everyone has different perceptions and we aren't always attuned and unintentionally say things. These two women are different and what the OP recounts concerns that - deliberate ostracizing due to ego and power trips just because they can, or for an imagined grievance, and people will laugh and flock to them due to their popularity, status or money. Taking advantage of people who are quiet to demonstrate they can do what they want with impunity, treating them passive aggressively and cruelly since there's no repercussions, so that they and other can't actually call it out, and it make them doubt themselves.
