I did a query for "automate app close using iPhone Shortcuts" and this hit appered. Even though this video has absolutely NOTHING to do with what I'm looking for, I couldn't stop watching it. The instruction and CC are so smooth, well-paced, and impressively executed. Nicely done. I almost learned how to automate 4 or 5 tasks in my department and put us out of work within 6 months. Can't have that.

This is what will make MS useful for so many. The ability for ordinary (or non programmers) users the ability to quickly solve their small IT problems without needing expensive IT support. The fact that you can "automate" functions from different apps outside of the MS ecosystem is the real game changer. This info was brought to you by the simple and effective teaching from Leila Gharani! Thanks Leila!

So strange ... honestly, this is the 3rd or 4th week in a row, that your Tuesday lecture addresses an item I had written down on my To Do List to learn more about in the coming weeks, i.e. Planner, Teams, Whiteboard ... and now Power Automate. At the moment, this content is way over my head ... but I am very intrigued about its possibilities. A tsunami of ideas flows quickly ... to quickly because I still have a long way to go to be barely proficient ... and this video will have to be watched many times. Nonetheless, I still appreciate the content and admire the ease of presentation. Well done ... again (no surprise).

For anyone who's curious, give it a couple of minutes once you transfer the word file to the convert folder. The conversion didn't take place instantly and that got me worried. For multiple Word files, I am sure it will take anywhere between 4 - 10 minutes depending on the size of the document. Hope this helps.

Also depends on how fast your computer can handle processing. So yes, might take a few minutes on some computers.

I freaking love Power Automate. I had another system that would send zip files throughout the day containing Excel files to a shared E-mail. Power Automate would unzip them to a shared One Drive. I would afterward make One Drive Crash and Re-open for it to sync. Then I had an Excel script that would open and take those unzipped files and run em through five macros etc. and later send them to a Distribution List via. Outlook! I know Power Automate was only being used in the first step but it was so great!

I think essence is to learn apply and teach other to master it and get respect.

Hi Layla Can you record a video on how to create an automatic contract creation process? This will use several options: 1. A person fills out a form (basic data); 2. The data is transferred to the Word, where they are inserted into the appropriate places (variable text, dynamic) 3. The document is converted to PDF and sent to the mail of the person who filled out this form for signature or consideration. I think it will be interesting for many of your subscribers.

Here's a challenge that most office staff will likely run into. When an email is received in a certain outlook folder, view the pdf (this is a flat pdf, no field data, but you want to read the data to pull content out), save the pdf to your network folder and have the invoice date, vehicle ID and/or Invoice # as the file name. Great videos and tutorials, think of the possibilities! (Ruper the Bear Quote) :D

I'm a Power Automate Rookie, so I immediately have a question after lots of trials and errors :) I have a Power BI Report with KPI's (hits and misses) where all lines are related to a buyer. Is there a way in Power Automate to use the distinct buyer list (SQL source in the report) and send them a weekly overview of all 'MISS' lines that are applicable to that specific buyer? I use Power Automate everyday, mainly to save attachments into a specific One Drive folder. So the workflow goes like this. I schedule a report to be sent everyday at X hour (From the internal company platform). I move the email to a specific folder using a regular Outlook rule. On PA i just create a rule that everytime an email arrives to that folder, to save it into a DBs folder within One Drive and thats it. I combine this with Power Query so everyday I get all my data bases updated automatically when I open the correspondent excel file.

I actually use this amazing tool to send a copy of a Form that I need people to fill out (so they get a copy of the form with the responses the have selected) then out team gets a copy of the info with some added details that are not needed for the registrant. It works kinda like a registration confirmation, but then it also send the important info to a teams group so that I can quickly copy out the info for a badge name & put it in my label software to print conference badges.
