Review of Leilah's new app for anyone that is on the fence about subscribing: I have been using the iOS app on my iPhone and have found it to be a mostly smooth technical experience. Sometimes rewinding a video will make it bug out and you'll have to exit the video and re-open it. My favorite thing is the in-depth breakdowns of different belly dancing moves. I've finished working my way through the how-to videos of all the beginner movements (there are 24 of them). I cannot even tell you how much I have learned since doing this! I learned moves I hadn't seen, moves I'd seen but didn't know the name of, and moves that I thought I knew but actually was doing incorrectly. The breakdown of which muscles should be moving is incredibly helpful. Every single move having a short repeatable video is so great for practicing. I practice a few that I don't feel as confident about every day and can see improvements already. I've done a few of the beginner workout videos and they are definitely a great workout, I was already feeling it during the warm-up. The workouts are a longer style than her youtube videos, most being around 40-45 minutes. This is great since before I would usually watch two or three of her videos in a row to workout. I'm really enjoying the beginner workouts, I think they're a great place for someone without a dance background to improve their belly dancing. I adore Leilah's youtube videos but the app workouts feel easier to keep up with and do more subtle traveling movements or layering for those that are new while still being a great cardio workout. I haven't tried any intermediate workout yet, perhaps those are more in line with some of her youtube videos for those that are more confident in their dancing abilities. Some of her most popular KZbin workouts are on the app to be viewed without ads, but not all of them. Hopefully, more will be added in the future. The two stretch videos currently included on the app are a standing stretch and a deep leg flexibility stretch. Hopefully, she will add a non-standing full-body stretch soon. All in all, I simply adore this app. I was so excited when Leilah announced it and it has met all my expectations thus far. If you're only looking for a workout, her youtube videos will probably suffice, although you will be repeating content a lot more often, if you workout with her videos every day like I do. If you're looking to really increase your belly dancing skills while also getting a great workout the app is a must-have!

I really love it! Sweats like a Polar Bear living in Europe’s Summer 😂😂Been 3 Months with yr KZbin video, not only losing weight, shaping body curves, but also with more confidence with all my outfits - the body posture is much more elegant and I‘m no longer always annoyed by my belly tummy or arms with „waving goodbye meat”…. Thanks so much Leilah and I hope there could be more words to express my thanks & appreciation to your works! ♥️ I would really love to join the app, will there be some shorter videos like these on KZbin at around 30-35 Minutes? Heavy workloads somehow restricted my workout time and I found 30 Mins length is one of the best ways to keeping up on 4-5 Belly dance workout Days routine per week :) Again, thank you & sending love from Germany ♥️

This has to be one of my favorite workouts by you. I struggled a lot with the choreography but because of the amount of times that I repeated it, I was smiling at my progress in the end! I really felt unmotivated to work out today and you made the journey very comfortable (but I felt the burn too!)

Hello, I came from your belly dance beginner video and then this but I noticed my body unconsciously stiffs itself even though I try my best to soften my moves to avoid being stiff but I continue to unconsciously stiff. Do you have any tips on how to relax my body when I dance? I love your videos, by the way, the instructions are easy and great but for a stiff body like me, it can get kind of hard but thank you, your videos help me out a lot!

Hey. Thank you so much for this message. To be honest stiffness just comes from when you are really concentrating and this is something which is common with beginners. To get over this you simply need to go over all the moves and repeat things and give yourself time to conquer each move even though you may feel stiff. It’s only once you get to intermediate advanced levels when your arm start to become a bit more fluid and in unison with your body that things will start to look not stiff. Even I looked stiff when I was beginning Dance. Another thing you can do is incorporate stretching into your daily routine. But it’s all about repetition and giving yourself time Belly Dancers a journey I hope this helps.
