"Surround yourself with people who make it easier to achieve your goals." "Just because you texted me does not mean I'm obligated to respond." "Saying no doesn't mean saying no, it actually means saying yes to the one thing that is most important to you." ”There are points where you're not going to have a lot of friends, because maybe you're in a transitional period, or maybe you're going from one level to the next, and that's okay. It's okay to be alone, it's okay to do things on our own, it's okay to stand on your own two feet, and it's okay to not have an insanely large friend group", much needed to hear this, thank you.

This is totally viable, but also be ready to not have people in your corner when you need them too. Someone else’s emergency is not yours, but that works in the other direction as well.

1:11 "I said no to texting people back." Wow, that's refreshing to hear because I have to schedule responding to texts in order to get it done. It feels like a burden, so hearing how Leila allowed herself to be free from that, it's liberating to know it's a possibility.

This also includes work you take on. Sometimes, following the money will also hinder you. Nothing wrong with taking on work you need, but at least consider if the work is growing you in the direction you want to go (learn, build, experiment, etc).

Amazing teaching points to have a better 2024! I am going to send this to my family and a few friends (hopefully, they will get the point, LOL). I love saying no, which is saying yes to your goals and priorities without feeling guilty about it (my paraphrasing). Most never figure this out in life. You are a rock star, Leila! Keep kicking ass in 2024!

This is exactly what living an aligned and intentional life looks like. I began my most recent “Season of No” a couple of years ago and the most satisfying thing to me is seeing my progress. I now realise I truly am not available for most things and genuinely don’t even suffer from FOMO. I am obsessed with my ascension and personal growth. I manage the frequency with which I see or catch up with those childhood friends because ultimately they do keep me grounded - and they have loved me since before I truly knew myself so I do appreciate them. But they know I’m just on a mission and that mission comes first. I love it… ☺️💜👍🏾

I have really just started mine after years and years of building and losing momentum because I kept on doing things for other people and it was soul destroying 😩. But in a way I am glad for Everything I went through 😅. Because now I shall be a fiend for doing or trying my very best to do the things that will benefit and move me forwards. Thanks once again 🙏 You never know. Maybe I’ll get enough cash in the business to work with you guys🤞🥳 Have a great day!!!❤️

@6:57 agree with everything she says about choosing wisely, however, calling it “friendships” is a stretch , more like “associationships,” which is ok, too. Just sayin, it’d be like getting rid of my service dog cuz she’s too old to be functional for mobility - what kind of best friend would I be to that dog right? However if I’m an EOD in the military and the dog im assigned has aged and can’t support the mission, yes let that dog go where it gets to retire happily. However , that doesn’t make me that dog’s friend , and it probably won’t understand it was just an asset for a mission and it will break its heart - so the kinder thing to do imo is let the dog also have human companions that interact with it in a non working mode , if I know I’m going to relinquish it when it can no longer serve, just like let people know, hey we are here as long as we are working on this thing together - which to her credit, she’s doing with this video . And it’s ok to do that , 💯

But what if you randomly made your goal "have a 10 billion dollar company by 1/1/2025" but if you took that awesome 1 week trip with those friends, you could have hit your goal by 1/7/2025? And what if you're 80 and look back and regret only caring about making more money and wished your goals were to have had more awesome friends?

Leila, honest questions here, how do you feel about the restaurant industry? I know both you and Alex tend to lean more onto the brick and mortar businesses, but I rarely see the both of you speak about restaurants which are arguably one of the most popular business models in the world. I know the high costs, high over head makes these types of businesses unappealing but what about franchises running 20%+ profit margins? would be great to hear your insight on this.
