I have a question do you have to tack the membrane with the hand welder before using variant v2 so it won’t pull the membrane? Sometimes it pulls the membrane and makes seams wavy.

Dear Surge, we have different techniques to fix the membrane. With the hand tool welder TRIAC is one possible technique. An other technique is with a fixation bar. Which membrane do you apply? 3 methods used stand alone or together to seal seams without wrinkles 1.Patented tpo grip nozle. 2.stand on A 2x4 beside the seam. 3. tacking. With a hand welder Keep the tacks far enough back to not interfer with varimat. As well tack about every 4 to eight feet so it holds fast. Also helps to anchor blanckets with barbed steal plates or invertion bonding. If you are fully adhered just run the dog welder(varimat). No tacking or flatening needed.
