because they took the PI from al lowe, the creator, then ousted him. dude is by now long retired and about 80. and then they realized sooner or later, larry is antique humour that is no more funny or desirable today and STILL tried to bring him back. and they still will try it now and then when they are bored enough and have some leftover fundings. also, might i say, the PI went into different hands, after SIERRA ended. the rights to LSL are literally IN MY CITY. they're with an obscure german studio in my hood. pretty sure, if i offered them some munneeeeh, theyd gladly hand it to me.

I remember being 11 years old and buying this game for $7.00 in a discount bin at Radio Shack in my local mall (back when indoor malls were still a thing!) Best seven bucks I ever spent! My dad got a kick out of this game also and said it was very well made.
