This is great! I had no idea the route would be so scenic and quiet. I was going to remark on the lovely weather you had, but it went a bit awry, I see!

I have tended to show the off-road bits because they were prettier. There was quite a bit of normal road too, but most of the roads were very quiet. I really don't recall busy roads, except perhaps in one or two of the towns. The big cities tended to have good cycle paths. Definitely a pretty route, and one I would have no hesitation in recommending! The weather was... British! Surprisingly, we seem to have done some of our highest mileages on wet days - less time spent sunbathing, perhaps! Thanks for your comment!
