Bali (Indonesia) is blessed with many waterfalls. My mother and I went to see some of them. My father stayed back in the restaurant near the car park.
While visiting Leke Leke waterfall, I decided to document the entire trek. It was a 15 minute walk through unpaved, muddy terrain with no safety handrails.
The walk down to the waterfall was a little treacherous, but we had a lot of energy and the scenery (which reminded us of Kerala) was so beautiful that we felt no tiredness. The waterfall was stunning.
After taking some photographs we headed back.
This walk back was so tough. We were panting and were so tired that we had to take a half hour break afterwards.
I am immensely proud of my mother for having done this trek with me. What a sport!
If you are planning to go to see Leke Leke waterfall, do not go during the rainy season, and wear good footwear with excellent grip.
