Lee, have subscribed since the start. At age 77 & widowed, just came to the conclusion that if I had a "do over", I would want Leland Sklar for my next door neighbor. What a wonderful world that would be for a former bassist that "borrowed" from the Master for many years!! Please stay safe. Thank you & keep posting.

Reminds me of a story, I was in Nashville for a demo session. I was staying at the Producers home. The last night we were there the artist and friends were having drinks...you know the pat yourself on the back party..Well a few were smoking cigarettes the host dumped the ash try in a can under the sink. We all went out to see some live music came back a few hours later. The whole house was flooded about 2 inch deep in water. A cigarette caught fire under the sink and burned through the water line...oh the stories my KZbin friend...

Thank you Mr. Sklar for all of the great music you have created throughout the decades . I'm 60 so I have been aware of you and James Taylor and Carly Simon and your music for a long while -since summer day camp in 1970 . Thanks also for these wonderful videos. God bless you and I wish you many more years of music and non-music joy.😊🎼🎵🎶🎵👍p.s. I grew up in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, approximately half a mile from where the Simon family lived but I never saw Carly Simon in her old neighborhood and I was jealous of the grownups who reported seeing her or one of her sisters.

Great story!! Brought back memories of an apartment that my wife and I lived in years ago. She came home from work, walked in our apartment and water was come out of the ceiling through the light fixtures, electrical outlets and everything. The guy who lived above us washer machine hose busted and water was running all day. Needless to say, she called me at work and I hauled ass home. Thank God we had renters insurance!

Lots of crazy stuff is how our friendships are maintained. That memory will stay for a lifetime. On time after the whiskey and J. Winter a wheel fell off my MG at Bel Air and sunset blvd. It landed in a evergreen bush 3 inches from the fire Departments 20ft high plate glass windows. I have 100 of those stories with my oldest friends. Priceless story. Indoor rain forest! Priceless.

James' channel is wonderful. I throughly enjoy both his music and his nonsense. I had my own "rainforest" moment myself. The last time my whole family went on vacation (1977) my mother fell and broke her kneecap so she was in the hospital getting that fixed. I was waiting to hear about a job, my brother had to get back for something, dad had to come home and check in for his job before going back to get mom, so he brought us home then drove all the way back to my aunt's in South Florida. The day he left, everything was fine. The next morning it was raining in the house! There was something wrong with the AC and when I got up there was a river in the hallway, a waterfall coming out of the jallosed door closet where the AC equipment was and rain dripping out of the ceiling pretty much throughout the center of the house. We shut everything down, opened all the windows and mopped up for what felt like days. Georgia in August is not where you want to be without AC, trust me! And what did the old man say when he got home with Mom sprawled out in the backseat? "I guess it's true that it doesn't rain unless it pours!'' He had to about pick my brother and I up!
