Now that's a serious catch n cook houseboat! Blow our minds with a 48 or 72 hour boat survival catch n cook challenge where you only take spices, butter, and maybe some taco shells, wraps etc for a variety of fish meals. Now it would really be a fishing challenge if only artificial bait and tackle was used with no electronics... High Adventure primitive style!!

Big Man’s.... a legendary place for sure! I’ve been to a church service there, stocked the boat with snacks and drinks, and got a DNR violation for going to fast in the “no wake zone” all within an hour! I’m glad they’ve kept the name “Big Man’s”... I remember Big Man Shealy. I imagine you had to do some shopping around to find a jon boat with a floor plan suitable to set up a tent. I like it!

We used to catch em on Weiss Lake drifting shiners. We didn’t use the trolling motor unless we needed to stay out of an area or to get our drift the exact way we wanted to go. We caught some 20+ pounders on shiners and other days they wanted shad. We always had a blast catching em either way. Brings back some good memories I have of my old man. He’s been gone almost 5 years now and couldn’t fish the last 7 years he was alive. The old man used to spend every second of his off time doing the things us kids loved to do hunting, fishing, looking for arrowheads, exploring new places, just whatever we could come up with and that’s how I try to be with my kids.

Wow. Great video with Surf and turf perfection. My biggest fear in the middle of the night is getting a high wind as you sleep. You definitely did it in style. The drone footage definitely added that flair to the video and with breakfast. Awesome touch.
