I am just learning playing this piece. I have not played western music from years, since I played Chinese opera music using the violin for 30 years. I started playing this piece again in order to practise the basic skills again. Your instruction is so clear and amazing. In addition to that, you are as beautiful as your violin playing.😍

Meditation from Thais by J Messenet - an amazing vilion solo work that I have been dreaming to be able to play and thought it was a mission imposible to me due to late start of touching violin at age 17, followed by 17 monthes of training @ age 22 with a violin teacher, then stopped playing for 17 years to pursue further study and working. Thanks to God, and video coaching from KZbin, especially from this video presented by wonderful and nice violin artist Ms. Lelie Christea @Violin Love, I finally spent 35 days to learn it and can play the whole piece now, though a lot to further improve. Thaaaaaaank you, Lelie!🌹🌹♥

Can we do a moment? a little space just to mention: How sublime and beautiful is it to be able to take a violin and accommodate the sounds in the same way that Massenet did hundreds of years ago and try to emulate his ideas? and beyond that we have this beautiful girl explaining to us how to try it and saying how the breath can feel in each part (because it is moving and overwhelming) and we can all together learn about this meditation

I started playing violin when I was 30. This one is one of the first I learned to play. I have never had any teacher, but borrowed books on the public library about how to tune and how to hold the violin and bow. This video is great: I found smarter and nicer finger setting in this video and lots of other things, so thank you! :) Doesn't this melody suit the violin very well? It's so much easier to play compared to Chopin's nocturne in ciss minor, which may be is in a simial level of difficulty? Or perhaps it's only so for me?

How long you should play violin before learning this? I'm playing About 5 months
@timsamong11 ай бұрын
Depends but for adult beginner at the very least 3 years, i recommend learning the suzuki books 1-4 first, but realistically, about 5 years. Also, hate to be that guy hut, you say "I've BEEN playing FOR about 5 months", not "I'm playing about 5 months".

@@anjinsanx44 Are you self taught or do you have a teacher? Depends on the person especially if you are an adult or child but like you really need to not rush things since you might be learning pieces that you think you can play well but really is far down your path. Not gonna judge tho.

@timsamong11 ай бұрын
@@anjinsanx44 I mean I wouldn't doubt it since you have musical experience, also I am quite a lot younger than you so I can't really judge but like you can't say you can learn it without getting any feedback. Since I don't think you have any bowed stringed instrument experience, I'm just gonna give you this. My teacher never let me progress without perfectly mastering each piece. Play as you see in those videos, exactly as those, and then you progress. I mean if you are capable of learning it then why not but maybe you aren't quite achieving the sound you are supposed to. I was around 11 when I learnt this.
