Just baked this cake, March 8, 2024, and was utterly blown over! Talk about outstanding, easy to do, not overly expensive, super moist and utterly delicious. Never knew adding Cool Whip to the prepared whipped cream cheese icing would turn out so outstanding either! Major hit with all who tasted it. NEW family favorite!! Catherine I used strawberry pie filling and strawberry frosting to make a Strawberry Cream cake. I slightly chopped the strawberries in the pie filling, and I put thawed frozen sliced strawberries on to to make pretty. This was absolutely delicious. I think you can be very creative with this recipe maybe even try chocolate next.
